I just had to alter the dates for my Free Dining Trip, and their were only prefered rooms left at Pop. Will I be able to modify that to a standard room after 6/25 when the promotion ends, or am I stuck?

Melissa

but there may be a change fee after a specific date. I talked to a CM the other day about upgrading to a higher room catagory or to another resort all together. The cast emmber told me, if you are spending more no problem, if you are spending less then there will be a charge.

Hope this helps

Dave

I have found this true in the past as well ... if you want to upgrade they will help you if they can (more $ for them) but if you want to downgrade there will be a charge or a no can do.

Yes, modifications can be done to the package even after the 25th, it is NEW bookings that cannot be done. But keep in mind two things--first the modification is subject to availability, and if you are inside of 45 days you could be charged a change fee. If your change increases the price of your package Disney almost always waives the fee, but if your change lowers the cost they will charge you a $50 fee, and possibly a $10 documentation fee if your documents have already processed. If you are more than 45 days from arrival then there will not be any fees assessed to you (other than any possible increase in cost of the vacation.) Since you are asking about going from a preferred to a standard room you would be charged if you are inside of 45 days from arrival as that would lower your cost.

I was thinking of changing my free dining in Aug/sept from POR to asmu/family suites. there are 5 of us and now I am thinking this could be better living conditions for us. Does anyone know if this would be a problem if it were available?

Here is another question along those lines.

Right now I'm booked for a standard room at CR. I figure I can upgrade to a tower room if they have it open for my same dates.

But

What if I wanted to change my dates all together?

I had to change my dates to a less desireable week but now things have changed and I may be able to go back to the original dates.

I guess it never hurts to at least ask but wondered if anyone had experience with this.

So, if I understand this, if we wanted to add a day onto the end of our stay, outside of 45 days should be no fee; inside 45 days, probably also no fee because we're increasing the cost of the trip, right? And at that time we could also add a day onto our tickets? And our free dining would be extended for one more day?

Is this still true if we've already paid off the package? I phoned the payment in yesterday even though it's not technically due until July 5 because we're going out of town for the weekend and don't want to forget.

Thanks!

I would be surprised if you could change anything in the value resorts. We just booked last Tuesday at Sports and had to get the preferred there, as Pop and Movies was booked solid. All of the Values were booked full by this past Friday. I would love to move to Pop if there were openings so i will check and see how you do...good luck!

Funny, I just called CRO today to ask this same question. We are staying at ASMO (with free dining), I have been reading some not so great reviews, and we are thinking about switching to CSR. I was afraid I couldn't do it as it is past 6/25. CM told me it was absolutely no problem.

Here's another scenario I was curious about...

Our family is booked for the week after Labour Day with Free Dining at ASMo in a Preferred View.

We would have loved to try the Family Suites, but realized they could not be booked with the Free Dining Promo.

When we arrive, and go to check into the resort, what if you asked for a room upgrade... one that you are willing to pay for. In that case, could you offer to pay for an upgrade to the Family Suites without losing the Dining - in other words, would the Front Desk CM take off your DDP?

When I booked our trip, my dh was told he couldn't get the vacation days from work so I didn't include him on the ressie, however, he *may* be able to after all. Would it be posible, do you think, to add him to the ressie and still get the free dining?

I booked at POR, for my son and myself, and got the free dining package. If he can get the time off, I would like to add DH, but would hate to lose the free dining (that's why we added this extra trip, because of the dining ... I look for any reason to add an extra trip  and the free dining was a great incentive)

Do you think I could add DH without losing the free dining?

Same basic question here...........We have ressies at POFQ for free dining, two rooms, 3 in each room. DD and family in one, thinking of adding BIL to her room ressie, with 1 day park ticket (he lives nearby, and probubly would not even stay at resort) Can she do this, and still get him the 1 day free dining? Seems it may be a better deal, because he has to buy a park pass, and all his food for one day anyway, and I think it about $15 to add him to the room. And this way, he can even get in to the EMH morning, and stay the night if he decides to.

It is my understanding that the family suites at ASMu are pretty well fully booked for the entire time frame of free dining. I know that they were not included as part of free dining, but there were not really very many suites, considering the size of ASMu. If the suites were fully booked for even one night of your stay, you wouldn't be able to pay for an upgrade, even if you wanted to.

You would have to add him to the package - same amount of nights, same kind of ticket as everyone on the package. You would have to pay the extra adult per night fee for each night on the package.

What if I want to ADD a day [or two] in front of my ressies [or a day later, for that matter!] ??!?!?

Anyone know the answer to this? I may want to add a day, also.
