My fiance just gave me the go ahead to change our reservations to stay at the Disneyland Hotel our last night in a couple of weeks! I am completely psyched to use the pool, drink at the tiki bar and generally enjoy this resort for the first time! :cool1: Ultimately if I have to stay in a non-renovated room I will survive (first world problem, right?) but I really, really, really, really want to stay in the Adventure Tower! Adventure land is my absolute favourite one and I think I would enjoy the themeing there the most (and to be honest I would have less sticker shock if I get what I want, lol!). Has anyone had good experiences calling and asking for a note to be put on the reservation? There was no field when I made it for requests and no one has really mentioned it before, or is it just up to luck/ begging the CM when we check in? TIA!

I don't know if we are just lucky or what, but we have been "granted" any request we had at DLH. Our choide of towers, type of room, etc. The front desk clerks have always been so nice, very happy to help. No special secret or way to ask, I just ask if it's possible. It usually is!

You might as well ask. If you don't, you're sure not to get it.

Thats great to hear! So you just asked at check in? Thats what Im not sure about - the WHEN to ask. I know in WDW - well, Ive heard that in WDW - the rooms are assigned days before so its better to get the request in early.

We put in our request when we made our reservation. Fwiw, you will get a renovated room. They've all been done or the last ones are being done. Theming wise, the towers are really all the same except for a few details in the lobby, IMO.
