Possible terrorists in Niagara Falls?

Yesterday 2 men of Pakistani descent were taken into custody by Canadian authorities after trying to walk across the Rainbow Bridge (bridge which crosses from US to Canada for those who aren't familiar) at different times. They were carrying "suspicious paraphernalia", said to be bomb making materials, wire cutters and a white powder. They're still being held and haven't been charged with anything yet. Materials are being tested. This is scary. First the Al Qaeda jerks in Lackawanna and now this. They're a little too close for comfort for me.

Yikes!!!! Maybe after they finish interrogating them they should toss them OFF the Rainbow Bridge.

Link to full news story Good thing the heightened security levels assist in making everyone aware of things like this. Many can be nothing at all, but if just one terrorist act is prevented, it is worth it. And we will never know if some acts are not completed because of security levels.

I wonder if this was just a distraction. The fact that they are easily profiled, that the first came through at 4 AM which would be a LOW activity period at the border (hence more likely to be inspected), AND they did not go to much effort to conceal their equipement... just all seems incredibly ODD to me. Like they wanted to be caught. Which then leads me to wonder what else occurred that we were intended NOT to see.

If the terrorists we are supposed to be worried about are walking into official checkpoints, presenting their passports, and voluntarily handing over duffle bags full of anthrax for inspection, then I guess we don't have much to worry about. .
