Hello,

I will be visiting Raleigh, NC for a business trip and looks like I can take some days off work after to visit WDW. The date is not set but it looks like I can go on the week of Sept 2-8. My colleague may want to visit NYC for a couple of days so I may not get the whole week if I have to accompany him there (he's not interested in WDW). So what would WDW be like during that time? My main concern is the possibility of a hurricane. I'm not worry too much about temperature because I live in the tropic.

Thanks.

It is a good time to visit WDW.

The weekend and Monday might be a bit more crowded due to the Monday holiday, Labor Day, but the following weekdays will have low crowds.

Food and Wine will have just started up in Epcot.

You will right at home with the tropical heat. There is the possibility of a hurricane or tropical storm but I would not let that sway your planning.

There is the possibility of a hurricane. In the last 20 years there have been three Hurricanes near WDW in September. Jeanne in 2004 affected WDW a little. Ivan didn't get close enough. Last year Irma did hit WDW.

I am going down the week after - a hurricane is possible not too likely. On the other hand it will rain a fair amount in Sept. Often mid afternoon.

I'd go for it! Worst case, if a hurricane seems imminent, you'll have some advance warning and can change your plans. Here is Disney's FAQ regarding hurricanes. Airlines usually provide some flexibility, but you might have to pay a change fee if your flight isn't cancelled and you want to use your ticket for something else. If your flight is cancelled, of course, even non-refundable tickets become refundable.

The risk wouldn't stop me from planning to go.

Im seeing $156 per night for both caribbean beach and coronado (enchanted escape). Are there still construction and refurbs going on? That price looks like a good deal.

Yes, both have construction going on. I think the QS for Coronado will be undergoing renovations and the caribbean beach construction is extensive.

Ok I havent booked yet but it's almost certain that I only have Sept 3 to Sept 6 (Monday to Thursday). Fortunately both Sept 4 and 5 have evening EMH and I plan to use it. I want to get EMM for Sept 4, then spend half a day at MK then go to Epcot after lunch + EMH. on Wednesday, Rope drop AK, then go to DHS and finally MK for EMH.

target FP+ for Sept 4 is Space Mountain, Frozen Ever Afer, Mission: Space
target FP+ for Sept 5 is FoP, EE and TSMM

I'm a ride person, not a show person and by being alone, I feel I can cover all 4 parks with the 2 EMH + EMM and still have a lot of spare time
