Possible reason for no Counter Service at AKV????

...The difference for SSR and OKW is if you are at the main pool you are very close to dining options. We dont carry food back to the Villas, unless they are leftovers or groceries. But if we are hanging out at the pool or Community Hall, we enjoy having lunch or snacks at the pool, which is a close option at OKW and SSR. ....

But if you are not at the pool and just want to dine, you have to walk or drive from your villa at SSR or OKW.

Agreed:goodvibes
Im not against walking, I enjoy it. We just enjoy having lunch poolside on our pool days which are more often than park days lately.

We rarely go anywhere just to eat. It is mostly in conjunction with another activity or on the way to or from.

I agree Dean. It's almost like they set it up to fail, so they could say they tried:headache:

In Kidani defense, they do offer Private Dining poolside but that is not counter service nor can you use counter service credits poolside at Kidani.
I realize that the setup of both SSR and OKW create certain issues for a CS option which is almost nonexistent at OKW anyway. I really don't have a problem with walking or making the decision that it's too far, my choice. My point, as you obviously got, was that there was an option that was taken away by choice by Disney and moved much further way from the BCV. I can understand why Disney would do it not wanting to duplicate services and wanting to maximize usage of a new CS. I'd even venture to guess that they had the discussion ahead of time about the volume of complaints they'd get for this very reason. Personally I'd love to see the CS breakfast stay but I understand why someone who had an option and lost it would complain about that loss.

Did the food options at Marketplace stop during this time?

My experience is that the Marketplace offers very different things and nothing like what the B&C experiment offered, so I hardly see it as a replacement, at least for breakfast.

That said, I would never characterize b&c as "much farther away." I don't think it's much farther from the villas than Roaring Forks is from VWL. ymmv of course

My understanding was that some options were removed and this was the nature of the complaints. My take is that if so, that is a valid complaint, if accurate.
