Possible New WDW Roads

5 years away is the 50th so who knows. Last year Lasseter was spotted in tomorrowland with blue prints. I'll keep dreaming as no matter what else they do, magic kingdom is just going to get more and more crowded as it's the iconic castle park so if you come for pandora or star wars, your still getting to MK if your time is limited. It also looks to be 1 or 2 land sized.. I'm excited even if they aren't saying what's up yet..
Lasseter and many other executives were spotted in DHS as well. I don't think MK is a major focus right now. They want to get the other parks up to speed for the 50th and then just have things cleaned up at MK.

50th year is a hard deadline and disney takes 5 years for anything.. one could say they are already started with these road changes in that corner.

I don't think we will see any major additions to MK before the 50th. Small changes like new fireworks or parades, and emtertaintn sure, ride refurbs of course but big brand new attractions no.

Interesting...

That's definitely a bypass of the magic kingdom area to allow for future flexibility...

Doesn't seem like it would result in a major thoroughfare though...

Keeping the eyes peeled on that one.

They aren't dumping money into new things at magic kingdom for the foreseeable future.

Let's not go crazy here...the place is packed and they are coming off a frankly - bad - new developement that gets rave reviews...no idea why.

They'll ride that horse for awhile. Bigger problems elsewhere and it isn't like the costs are less at the other parks.

I would like to see a plan of action to do face lifts in tomorrow and frontierland...those places are looking near dingy and they desperately need them.

Interesting new map there Ryan. That will make it a bit easier getting to the WDW parks from Reems Rd.

This also makes me wonder if the current Center Drive entrance will be closed once the new road is finished. Together with the off-property construction of a 7-11 mini strip mall directly across from Center Drive the traffic congestion will be an issue I'd think.

Hmmm.... Now that I think more about it I'm guessing it will stay open since they are actively 4-laneing Reems Rd in that area and the turn to Center Drive appears to have a dedicated lane.

I'm not dialed in enough to get this reference. What are you referring to?

As I recall, someone had posted a mark-up that showed the turn from Reams to Center Drive becoming just a parking lot entrance for the Cast Member parking lot. I don't remember what happened to the south end of Center Drive.
