Possible New Resorts!

I see mice, a rose, an apple, a magic lamp, a familiar looking clock...

Don't forget the footstool! Looks just like the one from BatB ^__^

That said, I would LOVE a Princess or Pirate themed resort—yeah, I think they’re over merchandised, but something like this would have guests immersed in the Disney magic we all love so much even more so than we already would be just from being in our favorite place on Earth (so would the Mansion one, I guess, but the ride gives me panic attacks for some reason, so you can see why I wouldn’t exactly jump for joy if I had to stay in a room themed off of it, ^.^;; )

If POFQ is due to be refurbed, could it be that they are just trying out different ideas for adding some themed rooms there, like the pirate rooms at CB? Any of the 3 themes mentioned would probably work at POFQ.

Both POFQ and POR are going to be renovated. Saw on another site that HM rooms could be at POFQ and Royal Rooms at POR. The Royal rooms even have a pic of Tiana so it looks like they are definitely looking at the POFQ/POR rehab specifically.

Before I saw the pictures I was all for the HM theme and not the Royal theme. But now....wow! those royal theme pictures are gorgeous! They look almost, if not better than the rooms in some of the deluxe resorts.

I wouldn't mind the HM theme if they incorporated some of the accents from the ride. The glowing footsteps is pretty cool. Or how about a mirror that shows some hitchhiking ghosts :rotfl: Instead of maybe hitchhiking they could be brushing your hair or your teeth :rotfl2: I'm sorry, I'm thinking too into this.....

To the poster who said about a cemetery pool...now that would be awesome!

I got the survey too and it was always $30 more per night. I said in final comments I wouldn't pay more for the same size room

I think the Royal theme room would be cool, but I don't like the HM theme that one certainly isn't for me. Even though the Royal theme is pretty in the photos and I think it's a cute idea, I don't know if I'd pay extra to stay in that room at a moderate (especially not at an additional $30 a night).

I think both new themes are GREAT! If they do one at POFQ.. would love that, as we love staying there.

I have a feeling they'd do X amount of rooms in certain buildings.... like POR I can see them doing HM theme but in the furthest rooms away.... just like the pirate rooms at CBR are a bit away. So yeah, if that were the case, no POR for us to try a neat room..... But hopefully do something at POFQ! Even if same thing, did those far away in bulding 7.... eh, it's a small enough resort, I'd say okay, will take building 7!

I just just joined to ask someone if they could post the pictures of the room and now i see someone has.
Id love to stay in a scary room. I love haunted theme. Maybe when you turn on lights it can flash like lightning and you can hear a crack of thunder too.
or better yet when you turn on the shower the light and thunder start.
The shower could be the rain!
Oh i hope they do this resort.

Thank You for posting the pics ! In the artist concept of the two I much prefer the "royal" room and the little girl in me wants to say I would stay there but not having any little ones I am sure DH would not like it. I am sure there will be no trouble filling these themed rooms even at an extra $30 per nite, after all anything to put that smile on one's little ones face

When I first read about the princess themed room, I didn't think I would like it.
Once I saw the artist's conception, I changed my mind! :thumbsup2
Thanks for posting the pictures.

Like many other posters here, I love the style of the royal room.
I think the idea of themed rooms is nice.

I think the Haunted Mansion sounds interesting, but it would be even better if they made the Hollywood Tower Hotel instead. I would stay there! (But maybe I would use the stairs instead of the elevator). ;)

Brilliant..

How cool. My girls and I think both the HM and Royal theme rooms are great! I might actually consider staing at POR/PORQ sometime if they had these rooms. I think it's nice to have the option of a "themed" room or not within the same resort. I wouldn't choose to pay the extra for the Pirate room at CBR, but I would stay there in a regular room again.

I really like both the HM and Royal concepts!! I really think that if they did a section of rooms themed (like CBR) everyone would still be happy.

I like the concept of the Pirate rooms too, but there is no pull for me to stay there, my kids are teens and no one in my house is really into pirates. However, *I*, am surrounded by boys in my house, and therefore am a total princess! I would love to stay in a Royal room. I think I would make everyone in the room bow to me each day as well... :rotfl:

The "others" in my house, DH & both DSs, would think the HM rooms are really cool.

I think that they have imagined something that could really appeal to everyone. And if someone is really not into overtly themed rooms, but still wanted to stay moderate, if some of the rooms were left alone, most people would still be happy. I say most because, well, we all know... ;)

I would not pay an extra $30 per night for one of these rooms as the cost would add up fairly quickly  I would rather pay more for a river view room at the French Quarter instead  But that would leave more themed rooms for the rest of you :rotfl2:

Haunted Mansion resort would be great. I would stay there. I would like to see this happen or for Disney to build a Haunted Mansion themed restaurant.

This just reminded me of older dd's first trip to mk...we took her into the haunted mansion (she was 3) and she looked up at the cobwebs on the chandelier and said "someone really needs to clean this place" we (and some nearby guests) all got a good chuckle from that...

I could just see her being in a room or restaurant that had cobwebs and spiders!! "i don't think so" :lmao:

I think they should definitely add/change some of the resort themes. It would all be a welcome addition.

I think the HM looks like a fun place to stay but I would choose the Princess, it's so pretty/

I for one, don't like either. I love the HM, but not that concept art.
What I really don't understand is all this branding; what happened to subtle Disney touches? And maybe I'm in the minority here, but I go to PORFQ to feel like I am in New Orleans. If I want to ride the HM I'll go to the MK.
