Possible new Resort Mug sighting.....

Resort specific mugs were cool, but I am sure that Disney switched to all the same because their profit margin is higher for each mug if they can mass produced them at a lower cost. I don't think that Disney will go back to resort specific mugs (at least not for refillable mugs)...just my thoughts.

Please tell Disney to run out of the current mugs in the next 5 days so when we check in on Feb. 27 we'll get the new ones. Ha! Am I the only one hoping that the design is the 40th anniversary design they unveiled for other merchandise? I love it, can't wait to get something with that design next week!!

We`re coming in on the 26th! I was debating if I might want to wait a few days before getting my mug if they still have the old ones out...just in case the new ones come out mid-vacation! I would be SUPER bummed out if the new ones come out while I am there, but AFTER I get my cup!

my dad still uses his POR mug from at least 10 years ago - back when they were resort specific. I want to bring him home one - easiest souvenir. Why doesn't Disney put out the new mugs to go out with the new 'theme'? I bet they would make up their money else where and they could even donate the old mugs after trying to sell them at x% off.

Well, for some of us waiting on the new designs they do - the mug comes with the quick service and deluxe dining packages, so we're getting a mug per person whether it is a new design or not.

isen't the mug used at the resort when your dinning or taking a break at your home resort. i have a mug use it at the resort then take it home and gosh knows what happens to it then.

i couldn't even tell you what it looks like ... maybe they are a big deal and i am missing it.

For us they're also souvenirs. I have mugs from every one of our trips going back to my first as a teen in 1997, and since they make great to-go mugs they get a lot of use. Especially during football season, where we're toting around two mugs and a thermos of coffee or hot cocoa! We'll get them either way because we're on the deluxe dining plan, but I'm hoping for new ones and not the same design we got on our last trip over a year ago.

As promised, just got back from the Beach Club and saw the old "Celebrate Today" mugs, also spotted them over @ Cap't Cooks at the Polynesian.

I did see the mug you guys mentioned earlier at the Parks----when purchasing coffee...but not at the resorts.

good use of your mug. and a tigers fan can't beat that combo. i remember because i saw him pitch in spring trainning Mark Fidrych (the bird). great pitcher .

boy i never thopught of them as souvenirs. just something to get my drinks in.

This is the DisUnplugged article on them, with prices pictures and rules for use They are cute....but really summery. Not sure how they'll go over with the kids in October while we're there for MNSSHP. Awww who am I kidding....I'm the only one that cares what's on the mugs and I'm just glad it'll be a different design then the past 2 years LOL
