I would vote for "unlucky". I have always been asked for ID when I check in but I have NEVER been required to have the other people in my room show up and show their IDs too. That's way over the top, IMO. I have even paid for the DDP on my last 3 stays (BWV, AKV-C & BWV) and at my last BWV stay my DH and DD stayed in the car while I checked it. I would have blown a gasket if I was required to present them at checked in.
Some of the changes (like allowing only the member to call MS) are fine with me ... and I have rented my points in the past. Others, like allowing only ONE transfer IN or OUT of a contract per calendar year, are a
huge pain in the butt. I used to have two contracts (bought off the resale market) and it made coordinating those two contracts very difficult. I see the name change restriction rumor to be in the pain in the butt classification and I hate changes that make it more difficult for
ME to use my points even if they are designed to make it more difficult for professional renters to abuse the system. I think there are other ways to stop the professional renters without inconveniencing the regular
DVC owners.
