I have seen some threats on how June is but would appreicate know how it exactly is. We are thinking of going again and have 2 options but will choose none of the crowds are bad. We cannot go earlier as we have pulled out kids out twice now for disney trips(innocent look around).

May 29th-June5th: would required my grade K son to miss the last 4 days of school but it is not like there are finals or anything LOL.

June 5th-June 12th: no missing school

The question is how crowded is it. I went during thanksgiving and it was a zoo and I hate it. I went the week before presidents day weekend up until that week end with valentines day vacation included and it was not horrible but still more crowded than I would have thought.
Also, are there any conventions or 'special days' going on during any of the dates I mentioned?
thanks for your help.

the first couple of weeks in june are not too bad yet crowd wise...it is busy, but very manageable with emh and fasspass...crowds get progessively heavier as june moves along....really starts getting crowded about the third week in june....the first week in june is also "gay days" at WDW....I won't get into any kind of debate about that other than to just let you know about it....it will be hot and humid in florida in june, so be prepared for that....we have been the first couple of weeks in june several times and will be there again this year...we've always had a great time visiting during this period...

Based on our experiences over the past few years, the 1st week of June is a good time to go.

June is hot and busy, but not unmanageable. Also the parks start extending their hours then, whcih helps too. Just go with that in mind and you will be fine.

Our first trip ever was the second week of June, 2001. Crowded but very manageable. Our second trip was the first week of June 2002. I thought it would be even less crowded, but boy was I wrong. It was PACKED. We were still able to do everything we wanted to do, but it was much busier than the year before. Our second trip was post 9/11, but I think people were sick of not traveling and decided to pick our week in WDW to begin travelling again.

We also visited WDW at the end of July 2003 and the crowds during our two June visits were much more manageable than in July. Also, keep in mind that the first week of June is Gay days. The selected park of the day will be very busy. The first Saturday of June is their Magic Kingdom day and I would avoid the MK like the plague that day.

Hope this helps.

Cheerdaddy with the same exception mentioned by puffkin. I think the 1st week of June in 2002 was an anomaly as puffkin mentioned due to so much travel being put for several more months after 9/11/01.

You can check the Gay Days Calendar for park and events selected for each day (AK-THU; MGM-FRI; MK-SAT; EPCOT-SUN). We have gone to Gay Day parks and we have avoided parks selected for Gay Days thinking they would be crowded and really haven’t seen a difference in the size of the crowds so I don’t know if there is a need for a strategy around Gay Day crowds except for the 1st Saturday of June (JUNE 5 in 2004) in the MK which I’ve heard is extremely crowded. WDW has had EE mornings for all parks on that Saturday because of the expected crowd size.

This will be our third trip during early June(we will be there the 6th-13th)and we have found both the crowds and weather very manageable. It usually rains about 15-20 minutes every day and then clears up. The only really heavy crowds we encountered were last year at MK on the nights that SM/FITS were scheduled. For the most part we are able to see and do almost everything we wanted to. The last 2 weeks in June is when WDW really starts extending the hours; when we were there last year MK closed at 7 or 8 pm most nights but that still didn't really slow us down. Hope to see you there

It sepends on what you and your family can handle. We went last June and DH swears he will never go that month again. It was hot, humid, rainy and crowded. I didn't think it was all that bad, but it's not my first time choice.

Hope you have fun whenever you go!
