Possible good news for offsiters and FP+

Well, if you are able to actually make a FP+ reservation on March 14th, let us know!

My update:

I am also staying off site (Dolphin) May 5-10. Today I got my tickets from UCT in the mail and linked them. My dashboard now says

"77 days to go" and "begin making FP+ selections on March 7th"

I will post what happens when I try on March 7. :o

I see some people have had success booking one night and then making FPP selections online for the remainder of their trip, but we have not been able to do it! We are staying offsite but are surprising our kids with a one night stay at POP to start off our vacation. I can book FPP selections for Fri and Sat (staying Fri night) but cannot select any days following. We have 5 day tickets from UT that are already linked in MDE along with ADRs for later in the week. I'm so bummed because the night we stay at POP we aren't planning on hitting the parks, just relaxing after a long drive down! At this point, I'm going to obsessively check daily to see if anything changes but also prepare for a mad dash to a kiosk.

Has anyone else had this experience of not being able to book FP+ for their entire stay after booking a throwaway night?

Just wondering if you had to enter what dates you will be there on MDE when you linked your tickets?
I am curious as I linked my tickets last night and the only way it knows i am in Disney as I Have an ADR booked for our last day. It says I can book fast passes 60 days before my ADR, when in actual fact I will be in Disney a week before that.

On a side note, I had to phone Disney earlier and the CM on the phone said I swear she said to me, I would only be able to book fast passes 3 days in advance as an offsite guest. I may have misheard her, but its definitely what it sounded like!

I did not have to enter dates, I have ADR's for every day except my arrival day so I assume my "date" is based on my first ADR.

I would take 3 days before. Anything to not have to deal with the FP+ kiosk lines.

I don't doubt that she may have said it, or it sounded like that to you, but from everything Disney has said it would have to be longer than that. If they want people locked into the parks before they leave home, then with only 3 days prebooking most families would be locked in for a maximum 2 days before they left. (Figure 1 day travel and then the next 2 days.) While they could still continue booking 1 day at a time, it doesn't make sense for Disney to let them arrive and start seeing all these billboards and flyers and signs for all the other attractions when they will have 4-5 days on their vacation still to fill.

I'm betting on the full 60 days myself. For testing? Yeah, they might be doing shorter segments because they have to get people who are already there and so only have a couple of days left.

We'll... Was at HS this morning. Arrived around 9:30. Went straight to kiosks at times board....it was packed. Started to go over to LM kiosks, just before stairs a bunch of CMs were there with iPads for guests w/ a FP+ sign.
We were able to get TSM for 9:55, ST 10:55 and LMA show for 12:50 ( but didn't use bc we left)
We rode RNRC single rider. and did GMR with no wait posted at 5 min.
We had an ADR at Sci- Fi at 11:15.
So...we did TSM, ST, RNRC & GMR by 11:15. Wasn't a bad morning, but according to TP crowd level was only a 5. Probably wouldn't be able to do all that in morning on busy day :(
What I really found out that stinks on this trip is the park hopping. We almost never stay in One park a day. We went over to EP after lunch. We did TT SR line then SE posted 15 min. Waited about 10.
So not a terribly bad day, it wasn't that busy. Worried about Spring Break!!

One more thing.... There are NOT enough FP+ kiosks!!! :(.
They better be putting more in soon.

haha... I have uploaded my UT tickets, connected my dining reservations for April 13 and it tells me I can start booking my FP+ of April 27? I only have 5 day PH, how did they calculate that. Oyevey!:rotfl2:

It's still in testing. ;)

I booked a throwaway room for earlier this month during value season, did online check in and never showed for the reservation. I got magic bands with my reservation. My trip is in two weeks, I have tickets linked to my account and have fp scheduled for the entire trip. So it worked for me :cool1:

Doing this, for what period of time were you able to schedule FP+, meaning, I'd like to book a throwaway room for one night. We are buying 5 day tickets, but stretching our visit out over 7 days. Will I only be able to book FP+ for the first consecutive 5 days?

You should be able to book any 5 days in a 14 day span.

We are offsite APs. I just saw on MDE that I can schedule FP+!!!!! I am so excited!! 60 days out was a couple of weeks ago, but I guess I gave up on checking every other day lol. Anyway I'll take it!! It's still 46 days away.

I wonder when I'll get the MBs not sure how all that works.

Did you book them yet or was it just a teaser message?

Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but it may be the same thing we are all experiencing, i.e. Inaccurate MDE messages based on ADR's that are scheduled. Was there a specific message or did it just tell you the date when you clicked "make fast pass selections"...?

There was no date. But it made me stop at a certain point bc it said only 2 tix were linked. When I tried to link others it said it's linked in another acct. ( my DH's) I am so frustrated!!!!
I'm gonna try calling this week.
I think if all the tix were linked in ONE acct. I would have been all set. It was definitely different from the last time I tried.
