Possible good news for offsiters and FP+

Yes.

Magic band from previous visit, registered with a non expiring ticket. I can get FP+ for any day in the future I want (60 days out).

This is because you have MBs from a previous visit though. I think that poster meant someone without MBs. A "true" off siter. I could be wrong though. ;) Once you get your MBs from a prior stay, as long as you have valid admission linked to it, you can schedule FP+.

I have a MB from my Dec.trip. I want to take my sis and her family this coming Oct. They do not have MBs. Due to there being 6 of us staying offsite really makes the best financial sense, but I do NOT want to be standing in those darn kiosk lines with everyone else. If I linked them into my friends and family and we all.had tickets, would I be able to book for them too? Not sure I've read about anyone trying this.

October is quite a ways out and things could change.

Right now no, this would not work. They are not active in the system to be able to book FP+ in advance.

If/when offsite guests can access FP+ in advance in general, then yes.

I hope that those of you staying offsite get to at least access the APP. It would be nice to not have to deal with the kiosks every day.

Definitely hoping things change! Just frustrating to not know what I'll be dealing with. Trying to determine if I go to the trouble of getting the best ADRs at the time I want 180 days out to only postpone the trip later b/c off site can't prebook, there are still tiers (tears in my book), and have to use all in the same park - no hopping. Or I postpone until I can afford to get 2 rooms which is cheaper than a suite but MUCH more expensive than off site.

To be honest we are just finishing an offsite trip and he kiosks have been great. No wait sandwich e could walk up and book right away whatever we wanted. Even on valentines day when the MK was mad mad busy.

That's good to hear. I wonder if many of the offsiters are using them though? Maybe they never will.

I did wonder about summer and {{{shudder}}} the holidays.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this week works and spring break too.

Booked one night at Pop, staying off-site after that. I have been able to schedule FP+ for all days. When I first made the reservation I was unable to schedule anything except for the days on-site. Last weekend the site allowed me to add the other days. These are for the end of March. We will see if it all pans out when we get there.

I wonder what would happen to you FP+ if you cancelled your first night at Pop?

We booked one night at Fort Wilderness campsite (for 10 people) and are staying off-site after that. Linked all 5 day park hopper tickets in MDE and are able to make FP+ for entire trip. We will be getting our magic bands in the mail. We will be able to get free parking passes and enjoy EMH for the 2 days of our Disney resort restervation! We'll also be there at the end of March and it's going to be a fantastic family vacation with the kids, their spouses and all the grand-kids! :wave2:

Thank you for the report!

I'm booking a day at the beginning and a day at the end of our trip on site. So I'm hoping to be able to get the fast pass.pixiedust: ahead of time too.

Anyone else going to be looking for a Sandwich getting their FP+ from the kiosks lol.

Could I ask what sort of times were being offered. We are rope drop people but leave mid afternoon people who go and hang out in the pool at the villa, shop have a dinner and kids go to bed at a normalish time. We use to collect fp during the day to use in the couple of hours after lunch when it got busier. Just wondering we will get mid afternoon time slots.

I have an ADR scheduled, no tickets linked yet, and no previous onsite stay. When I go to MDE and click on "make selections", I do not get a message stating when I can start booking fastpasses. I get the message below. Anyone have any idea why it is not giving me a date as to when I can start booking fastpasses?

mde.png

When I click on get started, it asks me if I am staying at a Disney resort. When I click no, it asks me to add friends and family, which I have done already. It then sends me back to the main MDE page. Anyone know why it isn't giving me a date as to when I can schedule my fastpasses? I am in Canada, do you think maybe I am ineligible for the test at this point?

Just wanted to update this in case anyone is wondering. I just linked my tickets from Undercover Tourist and I am now getting a message that states I can start booking fastpasses on March 14.

I see some people have had success booking one night and then making FPP selections online for the remainder of their trip, but we have not been able to do it! We are staying offsite but are surprising our kids with a one night stay at POP to start off our vacation. I can book FPP selections for Fri and Sat (staying Fri night) but cannot select any days following. We have 5 day tickets from UT that are already linked in MDE along with ADRs for later in the week. I'm so bummed because the night we stay at POP we aren't planning on hitting the parks, just relaxing after a long drive down! At this point, I'm going to obsessively check daily to see if anything changes but also prepare for a mad dash to a kiosk.

Hmmm, when are you going? Are your offsite days more than 60 days out from today?

Hi, sorry to hi-jack the post, but I didn't really want to start a new thread.

We are staying offsite, but I have just linked the ticket to the My Disney Experience App... I'm a little worried I shouldn't have done this as we aren't going until May.

When I linked them it said this ticket is now ready to use. I don't know if that means that my 14 days of use starts now, or if it means it will start once I get to the parks.
If I go into manage my tickets, it says I can de-activate the tickets and re-activate at anytime?

Does anyone know what I should be doing?

:confused3

Nothing, you are fine. The 14 days starts the day you enter a park.
