Yes they do, but the biggest problem is that if you buy points there thinking you will use them at WDW, then you will fall in love with the resorts and you won't be able to imagine NOT going there! (speaking from experience, of course) and have to buy MORE points!

LMAO.....4 add on's later I love HHI. It is my favorite contract This is where I have the most points, small contracts at VB, VWL and AKV.

Vero has very high dues. But HHI is a good plan, especially if you like the resort- the point cost is relatively low and you need the 11 month window for summer. Last year we booked at 7 months with our ssr points - i called right at 9 exactly 7 months out. 3 days in a row i got nothing - finally on my next try i got a week. We loved the resort and i have wanted a HHI contract ever since. But if you are not actually interested in vacationing in hilton head and want low overall costs, ssr is the best option.

GF DVC will sell out faster than BLT, but we are still likely looking at close to 2 years

A relative of mine was at BCV this last week. While sitting pool side he struck up a conversation with another owner who had been on a split stay between BW and BCV since early Feb (talk about alot of points!). They spoke about GFV and the latest news that the owner had heard was that if the wait list results in sales similar to what previous wait lists have, then GFV will just about sell out within a few months.

I doubt that could be true, but figured it would be decent food for thought.

For me - if the waitlist was that long, I would raise pricing to to eliminate that issue, but what do I know?

IIRC BCV was the fastest sell out (excluding CA of course) and it was around 13 months. VWL was 12 months when announced sold out but it wasn't and they had to reopen formal sales later. Overall I'd guess just over a year but remember DVD plays games with the "sold out" announcement.

yep. buying into VB and HHI to use at wdw is a rookie mistake IMO.

We bought HHI to STAY at HHI! HAHA

We have 4 home resorts, but won't use out HHI points at WDW, they are worth too much to use them for other resorts.

I can't wait to stay at Vero Beach some day - if it is 1/2 as wonderful as HHI it will be bliss!

HHI is just such a unique resort - it is like camping...but far more comfortable! HAHA

It is a week at the beach without the crowds, the touristy crap, and the trash! We area always so shocked how clean HHI stays!

We heard the same line of BS about BLT

This is why I spend time reading these.... I wasn't around during the BLT sales (nose to the grindstone to get the credentials that ultimately are now paying for my DVC points today!)

This is why varying input is great.... you never know when someone is joining the conversation and what their knowledge base is.
