Possible Free Dining Dates for 2016

In 2015 Free dining overlapped with room only for my stay.

I chose the room only and it saved me a ton of money by taking that offer and adding the DDP.

Looks like Dec 3rd is blacked out..
So should I expect for a room only discount to not be released either?
How many people in the room amd value or mod? It will just be dh amd I and we are hoping for riverside. Wondering if they offer 25% off for mods which will be the better deal.

I bet you will see a RO offer too. We have a BB now tht is 30% off the regular price, and are hoping that they will offer a FD for our dates as well. We need to book an additional room and if FD is offered, even at the BC the rest of our group will save money over RO. Although we are happy witht eh discount we already have, that storybook offer that includes PH would be even better! We are too cheap to buy them this trip, but if they are included I will try to change my reservation.

On another thread, someone who seems in the know suggested that exclusions would be: AoA Mermaid rooms, All Star Movies, POFQ, BLT, Poly Bungalows, and GF Villas. But they also said it was speculation, not sure on what it was based.

They also speculated that a ticket upgrade to parkhopper might be required, that value resorts would have the QS plan and all others the DDP.

But it all seems pretty speculative at this point.

Those were the exclusions and terms of last year's promotion, so it's pretty safe to assume that it will be the same (or at least really similar) this year.

What time of day are these discounts usually released?

(and what happens if there's also a RO discount but I've already fully paid for my room?)

2 people. Contemporary TPV. In Spetember '15 we were at Poly tpv.. Room discount was 30%= a discount of $1872 over 8 nights. That more than made up for paying for the DDP out of pocket!!!
Especially considering my son is 5..6 on Monday :) and has child priced DDP. It's just the 2 of us who travel.

It's always different online. Phone opens at 7a.

If you get a discount applied they'd refund you.

For me.. The room only saved $1180.
This year our room is less expensive at CR, and we'll only be there 4 nights.
But I did the math and still would come out ahead-
Room discount- $672
Free dining would equal savings of $346

Savivings of taking RO and purchasing DDP-
$326

That Dec. 3rd week is Pop Warner week, so most of the values and some moderates will be filled, probably the reason for the exclusion.
I'm holding off on tickets..I am using 2 old non expiring hoppers on our trips and then adding 2 day tickets. BUT- if no other discounts get released, and an AP does- I may just go ahead and purchase APs and hold on 2 my non expiring. Since we're not traveling until December that leaves a whole year that we would be able to go back. We're doing Europe in '17, but could fit a 5 night stay at WDW at some point over 12 months..which may make the AP worth it. We'll see.

Just out of curiosity, do rooms sell out quick with this promotion? Our travel dates will be August 27-Sept. 03 so if the rumored dates are released than we fit right in.
We are still watching our options for a trip and Disney is only one...once I can see what discount I will qualify for I can make a more informed choice.
The point is, I don't currently have any room booked and don't plan to book anything until the first week of May....Yet others are talking about being up at 7am April 25 to get this deal if its offered.
Will waiting/not having something booked already going to cost me the chance? We are not picky on which resort, but budget will only allow Value or Moderate, the only set back is we are a family of 5.

It goes very quickly, particularly cheaper rooms for five.

I'd book with the promo and a deposit. You can cancel without penalty up until 30 days out if you change your mind.

So if these dates are accurate, we will be going 11/26-12/4, I could get it for our entire trip correct? Even though the dates only state 11/26-11/28?

If these really do open up on Monday for Visa holders I imagine we'll hear something today or tomorrow morning (unofficially).

Those dates look squirelly to me. Usually the last date before Thanksgiving is the Friday before Thanksgiving while this one is the Monday before Thanksgiving.
