We had two rooms of carpet installed last Friday by Home Depot. They did a GREAT job! We are really happy with it. I was really worried after reading your OP but it looks great.

That helps prove the theory that it is not so much the company as the quality of sub-contracted workers you get. It's so hard to find quality workmanship these days... when you find one tho, spread the word! Good ones are priceless.
