I have been to DW many, many times with my family....I am considering a "solo" trip the last week in January (school prevents family from going) to recharge my batteries. I have been on many business trips alone, but vacation is different...any pointers or advice?

thanks to all

Yes, wake up when you want, do what you want and see what you want. Plus, relax, take it at a comfortable pace and enjoy yourself.

Also, talk to EVERYBODY.
Chat with ppl in queues or at the tables next to your at lunch/dinner.

Chat with CMs when they're not busy.

Start pin trading (great way to talk with CMs)

Go to Epcot and talk with the CMS in their countries. I love going to Norway because I spent three weeks there one summer and all the Norwegians are blown away that in many cases, I've seen more of their country than they have.

Have a long solo lunch at a great restaurant you've always wanted to try. Honestly, with some many ppl around, I never feel lonely at a table for one.

Go to one of the Spas (GF or SSR for example)

Sleep in or not. One day on my last solo vacation (this December) I had been going non-stop for two days, so I said to myself, what the heck, skip the parks tomorrow. I slept until 10 and puttered around my room for a few hours before heading to a leisurely lunch at Chefs de France (did a walk-up and had to wait 30 mins, but who cared?) The next day I did the Studios for 3 rides on Toy Story, then went to Epcot for the afternoon and then wandered over to MK for the castle lighting, parade, and wishes.

Just go and have FUN.

heck, I'll be there late Jan and be partially solo (DH is playing golf 3 days out of 6). Maybe we'll run into each other, LOL.

Thanks for the great tips! I am looking forward to some R&R; your ideas will certainly come in handy!
