That’s putting it mildly. I’m trying to stay positive but the ‘what ifs’ are starting to sneak in. I’m way more scared than I’m letting on.

I invited my sister and her kids over tomorrow afternoon to hang out and watch a movie. I need a distraction and a 5 and 3 year old will be perfect.

Thinking about you today because it's 4 weeks since your DD moved west. You seem to be bearing up to that better than you thought but I'm sure it hasn't been easy, nor has it made this situation any easier. Grace and peace.

No update yet. They are transferring him over to the other hospital in the next hour or so. Then, he’ll have the surgery. Us supposed to be just opening up his right ankle to drain fluid but there may be more to do when they open it up. Then, recovery until he’s stable enough to get transported to original hospital.

My big worry now is that the doctors suspect something way worse and they just don’t want to tell me. Not that I want awful possibilities, but also I’d kinda like to know so I can get in fight mode.

I’m glad my sister and niece and nephew will be here soon..I need to think of something else for a while.

Kim, without going back thru your whole thread..... I've been reading all posts but I'm dealing with memory issues......isn't this the third hospital they're sending him to?? I guess it's nice they are sending him wherever they can make him better so just sending you lots of positive thoughts that wherever he goes, he will GET better!

They sent him to a different hospital to get the echo. That was just an afternoon trip. Now, he has been transferred to a third hospital to have the surgery. It might be because that’s where the orthopedic surgeon works out of. Once he is stable enough, he will be transferred back to the hospital where he’s spent the most time.

His surgery for today was cancelled (not sure why, maybe not high priority) so he’ll be on the list for tomorrow. I’m frustrated because if I had known that earlier I would have spent the night with him. If I didn’t work tomorrow, I’d still go but I don’t know if I’d be allowed to stay or if he’s sleeping. If he has surgery tomorrow who knows if I’ll see him. It just depends on his condition.

My sister and her kids came for dinner and a movie and it was a nice distraction. But, they’re gone now so I’m back to lonely.

Maybe I should do an express gofundme so I don’t have to work tomorrow lol

I don't think this is the case. If they suspected something, I really feel they would tell you. Is the fluid in his feet related to the heart issue?
