I’ve seen a lot of news regarding Covid-19 and cruising, but nothing regarding how these ports of call are handling it. We’re cruising on the Fantasy this Saturday; does anybody have information about these destinations and whether we will be able disembark there?

TIA.

Info today could be outdated tomorrow. Anyone responding to this will just be guessing.

True, the situation is dynamic.

It would be useful to hear what travelers experienced last week and this week, though. Any changes to the debarking or embarking routine could be illustrative of what’s probable for the next cruises, etc...

Thanks!

I’m most curious about what is being experienced by cruisers here in real time (or as close to it as possible!), as I think DCL’s website likely lags the realities on the ground.
Usually you will see a post from a current cruise if something/someplace is missed or changed last minute. Sometimes other social media will post it first. Just check afternoon’s and you will see if it’s happened that day. You almost always see if Castaway Key has been missed because of Highwinds or if the glacier passage has been changed in Alaska within a few hours after it has been announced on the ship.

I got off the Fantasy on Saturday on a Western Caribbean. There didn't seem to be special precautions taken at Cozumel or Falmouth; I didn't end up getting off in Grand Cayman due to tendering annoyances. You aren't allowed to get off in Bahamas, including Castaway Cay, if you've been to one of the major infected places in the past 20 days. But the situation is still fluid and definitely changed even over the week I was on the cruise (they hadn't stared doing temp scans yet when we boarded).

Interesting, I wonder if things have since been bumped up? I can see how other islands would start this policy. Last year
while I was in Jamaica, I was told on my Disney adventure to the falls, how a ship the day before our arrival, had been refused at port because of neurovirus (now over a year ago).
