portofino to hrh?

i'm full of questions today...
how is travel between resorts, for instance if we were staying at hard rock and decided on dinner at portofino?
on the same subject has anyone eaten at trattoria del porto? how did you find it?

Travel is basically easy with differnt methods offered. We often eat at the other resorts. Usually we either walk to CityWalk and take the boat to the next hotel. You can also get the bus from each hotel and take it to the next however that can end up taking longer. You could also ask nicely at your hotel if they could drive you over to the other hotel.

Trattoria del Porto is delicious. I have always enjoyed eating there. They have a great breakfast buffet. On the weekends they offer a terrific huge variety Italian buffet for dinner. You can also order from the menu. On certain evenings they have entertainment. Right next door is Mama Della, also very very good.

Trattoria del Porto features a children's play area with a child-size table and chairs, beanbags, and a large screen TV where kids can watch all their favorite cartoons. Children's menu is also available.

Italian Dinner Buffet on Friday & Saturday night
Adult buffet price is $29.95 and children are $12.95

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Hours of Operation: 7am - 3pm and 5pm - 11pm.
(Closed for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday)

The walk from the HRH boat dock to the PBH boat dock is 8 minutes. It's not that far. At night the PBH has italian singers on the balcony near the lobby. It's neat to walk around the PBH at night because the restaurants face the lagoon, and most people sit outside and hang out. The HRH and RPR don't really have anything like this, so it's worth the walk over to check out.

The walk is very minimial. We stayed at PBH and walked right past HRH everytime we strolled to City Walk or the parks. If we weren't in a rush, it was a nice walk.

The atmosphere in the evening is very nice at PBH. We sat in the piazza by the harbor every night listening to the Italian singers and having a drink or two. Had the breakfast buffet at Trattoria, which was excellent. Never had dinner there though. Hopefully on our next trip.

The walk between the resorts is also lovely because the gardens and river/lake are so beautiful.
