All 6 of the Portofino Suites are in the West Wing. Most of them are facing the beach pool, although there is at least one that is on the bottom floor and has French doors out to the piazza right across from the boat dock.

Here are some views from the suites on the third and fourth floor:

4th Parlor view:

3rd Floor Queen Bedroom View. (The King bedroom would be on the other side of the parlor, so farther down the hall, to the left of the tree.)

The nicest things about the suites there are the two bathrooms!!!

Is there a bathroom in the parlour room as well as the bedroom, Damo.
I know you have been in the suites any recommendations.

Yes, the bathroom in the parlour room doesn't have a bathtub, just a shower, toilet and sink.

The bathroom in the bedroom has shower/tub combo with the inroom sink and toilet.

The pics taken by goofy! look like the Portofino suite we were in. We stayed for a longer time in the villa suite.

The difference between the villa suite and the Portofino suite is that the villa suite is the deluxe room with a parlor and the Portofino suite is the standard room with the parlor.

I find that the only difference between the deluxe and the standard is that the deluxe has a tub and also a stand alone shower in the master bathroom where the standard has the tub/shower combo.

Personally, I like the water view rooms simply because you can see when the boat is there.

There is also a portofino suite on the 4th floor that faces the bay. It is almost exactly in line with the dock. The queen bedroom has a balcony.

Yep...see trip report :thumbsup2

View from 3rd floor...bay AND pool views. :thumbsup2

This summer we have both bedrooms booked on either side of the parlor! Three connecting rooms! Gonna be a blast!!! :hyper:

Thanks Barb, some great Pics there , and lots of room.

Ha! You ain't kiddin!

Mom had the parlor to herself. This year, Bubba will have the parlor (& bathroom) to himself! (except 2 nights...he's sharing w/ cousin ;) )

Just curious - Are the sofabeds all the same, comfortwise? The one I sampled (for about 1 minute) in January was very lumpy and uncomfortable. I may be stuck with the sofabed for our trip in Feburary and I'm thinking I may be better off requesting a rollaway or placing the mattress on the floor.

Actually, no..they're not. When we stayed in June (first part of trip), Mom said her sofabed was surprisingly comfortable...something she just *knew* wasn't going to happen :rolleyes2

When we returned in July (last leg of trip), the sofabed was not comfortable. We called Star Services and they came up and wrapped some blankets around the mattress...she said it was better then.

Ma was worried about the support bar that goes right under your back on the sofabeds...however, there was no bar....there was an "X" shaped support instead.

I guess it's hit or miss w/ the sofabeds.... IF you get an uncomfy one, call Star Services and see if you can get a rollaway instead or something to cushion the bed with....they are really very good about that sorta stuff.

I totally agree. We've had great mattresses and not so great. The one we had in a Portofino Suite facing the pool was actually not too bad.

I've never thought about calling Star Services to see if they had a better solution. We're staying in a King Suite at RPR in a few weeks. That is exactly what I am going to do if things don't work out so well.

That was the one Mom found comfy...the pool facing one. When we returned and had bay view, that was the uncomfy one.

Thanks! It is good to know that not all sofabeds are uncomfortable and that that their are options with Star Services if needed.
