Hi,
Can anyone tell me if they have stayed at the Portofino Inn Suites. The site looks good but is it?
We would need the kid suite. My grandson has allergies and if it's old and smells he gets sick. Like mold is the worse. What do you guys think?
thanks,
Carla

I need some help here..........

Hi Carla,

Gosh, I wish I could help you out here, but I've never stayed at the Portofino Inn, although is seems to get pretty good reviews.

I have stayed at the Howard Johnson which is absolutely great and has recently been renovated. The rooms are quite large too, but they don't have what you would call a kids suite. They do have a couple of suites though.

I would suggest going to www.tripadvisor.com and read the reviews on the Portofino and other hotels that interest you. Trust me, if someone has a gripe about a hotel, or for that matter a fabulous review, that's the place that it's posted.

I wish I could help you more. Good Luck.

<font color=navy>I haven't stayed at the Portofino Inn & Suites, but when I make reservations, the Disney cast members tell me that that is one of the more popular hotels, and that guests seem to enjoy it.

I stayed there two years ago this October. It was a good value. The bedrooms in the suite were on the small side, but considering you spend most of the time at the park it was no big deal. No breakfast, small pool, but everything was clean and was easily within walking distance of the main entrance (2 blocks). I think we paid $99/night. This time around we are trying the Residence Inn at Garden Grove. Its a bit more money ($127/night with AAA), but the rooms are larger (as our family grows), and a buffet breakfast is included.

Hi,
Thanks for all your help. I think I'll look around some more not sure this is giong to work for me. would really like the breakfast in the morning...
thanks again,
Carla

This is one of the places that I am considering for my trip in a few weeks. I just can't make up my mind. The website makes it look very nice, however the trip advisor reviews are very mixed.
