Portofino Club vs. Hard Rock Club?

Is Club worth it? What time do they open in the AM? Can you go get soda, water in the afternoon and then head to the pool? Do they serve snacks too? Worth $70 more per day? Two adults and 6 and 9 year old.

Hard Rock club opens at 7 am (I think or 7:30 at the latest). I think its worth it, breakfast is muffins, donuts, fruit cereal, milk juice....late afternoon is beer and wine, hot and cold hors deurves.....night time is cookies and snacks....Soda and water are all day, not sure if coffee is all day. We usually eat breakfast in the club lounge, lunch at the parks, come back for the late afternnoon snacks and go to citiwalk later for dinner.

We never stay club because I am hard pressed to see how it would be worth it for our family. The breakfast would be great, but I would hate to think I had to plan my day around the afternoon snacks so as to make it worth it. Others, however, like the above posters, really like club. I would imagine that getting back to the hotel in time for the afternoon snack is more doable than at WDW where the parks can be a distance from your hotel.

We are usually at the parks when they open and are done for the day at 3-4, the kids are ready for a swim, and we are ready for a little "down" time. We usually spend 2 days or 1 and 1/2 days at each park and with our magic room keys we dont have to wait in any lines!!

I think thats why I prefer Universal to Disney, less rushing around!! But DD really wants another Disney trip, we havent been there for about 5 years, so we may visit there next year.
