Portofino Bay Cabanas

Thinking about renting a cabana for our last day at Portofino Bay. We will check out that morning before heading to IOA. We'd like to come back to the pool after lunch and hang out until time to leave for the airport (around 4:30).

1) Are the cabanas worth the price?

2) Will we have problems changing into our "airport" clothes after swimming? Is there a good place to change since we will have checked out early morning? Our luggage will be checked with the bell captain.

I'm not one to hang around the pool for that long of a time period.
i couldn't justify the cabana cost if i was only going to use it for 3-4 hours.


there are many that do use it for a small portion of the day and enjoy having the cabana for that time period.

and, there are some guests that spend the entire day and evening at the cabana.


if you are doing the park until lunch, then returning to the pool and cabana, you won't have that much time to use it.

i'm only estimating that if you have lunch around 12:30-1:00 and then return to the hotel for the cabana within an hour after that, you might only be able to catch a few hours at the pool.

you can use the facilities at pbh to shower and change before you leave at 4:30 for the airport.

if you end up doing an early lunch of around 11:30, spend 30 minutes eating, then return to the hotel, you could get in a full 4 hours with the cabana.

Sisneydeb: Did you rent a cabana and if so, how was it? We are a fanily of 4 (including 2 girls age 10) - and thinking of doing this on our last day when we visit in mid august so would appreciate your feedback. Thanks.
