I don't know if they even make such a thing, but I am looking for a water bottle that has a built in filter. I don't want to be constantly buying water while in the parks, and dislike the taste of tap water. Any suggestions?

I've been looking for these, and have not found any yet. I heard they were discontinued a year or so ago.

You can always try search the web for the Brita sports bottle. We bought ours at the grocery store before we went to disney world. It definitely came in handy. I know wal-mart sells the cartridges, but I am not sure about the bottles.

Brita has a site. I dont have enough posts to put a URL up yet. But there is a "where to buy" section.

go to your local sporting goods, camping, biking, etc.. store.

There are TONS of different brands of these. They are exspensive though if you only want it for 1 trip. The cheapest I have found and used was 25 (on sale) but the taste (or lack there of I guess) is GREAT!

I am finding a bunch of these on eBay right now and would like to try one out. Can you put ice in them? Does the filter always stay in it? If I find one cheap enough, I guess I'll just have to take the plunge.

The Brita bottles were discontinued a couple of years ago. You can find them if you're lucky (my Bartell's drug store in Washington state has them), but from the posts I've read, they can cause a problem because they leak.

My solution: Ask for a large cup of ice water at any counter service restaurant. They give it to you for free. The water is from their soda fountain, so it tastes better than water from the tap, plus it's cold because it has ice. I do this instead of carrying a water bottle around - I hate heavy, clunky water bottles when you use a carry-strap, and don't like to have to carry a backpack just to have a water bottle (plus, it could leak). By asking for water when you need it, you can just drink it and throw away the cup when you're done.

I got two of them from ebay a couple months ago. I think I paid about $10. each. A lot of people on these boards rave about them, but I was seriously disappointed. I couldn't tell a significant difference in the taste of the water and you never get the last few ounces out of the bottom of the bottle. They are also kind of heavy.
Yes, you can put ice in them.

Try CVS. Ask if you don't see them. I got mine from a back shelf. Ice works fine in them and the filter does not fall out. I love these and can not believe they've been discountinued.
