I know this is probably a stupid question, given how nice the FW campground is, but I was wondering if portable toilets, and accompanying shelters, were allowed at Fort Wilderness.
I have a five year old little girl, and was hoping to bring a small flushable marine toilet and a portable Cabelas shower shelter for use adjacent to our tent in the camping areas. I thought it would be nice to have it if she (and her accompanying parents) have to get up in the middle of the night for an emergency pottie break, especially if we end up far away from a comfort station.
Also, I want to add that these boards are great! This is my first post, but I have been lurking for a couple of months and have found this board an excellent resource!
I am trying to introduce two young ladies to the outdoors (age 5 and age 29), and I thought this would be a fun place to do so. We will be tent camping...so any other tips (especially geared towards little girls and moms) will be appreciated. I have camping for years as a boy scout, but it has been 15 years or so since I have been camping, and am looking forward to starting fresh at the fort
Thanks!
