Portable Phone Charger for the Parks

I think Anker are way better than the Mophies because they are bigger, faster and can recharge two at a time.

I use this one: http://amzn.to/1UJcXuZ

Last year we used our phones extensively and were able to recharge them back up to 100% during lunch (4 iphones) and then back up to 100% over dinner. We'd plug in the battery pack each night with our phones, though we could have done the above for three days before the recharge pack would have ran out of juice. We use a multiport charger in the hotel to keep everything together: http://amzn.to/21ekWAa and easy to charge. The multiport charger is a lifesaver so you don't have to find so many outlets.

Impressive!

DH used his Mophie case on our trip last spring, and it worked swimmingly. I'm a big fan of my Anker as well. Just an FYI, there's a table in Cosmic Ray's on the left side in the back that has well-placed outlets :thumbsup2

I picked up a super cheap portable charger from walmart, I usually plug it in around 30% and it will charge a lot, usually not all the way, and it'll only work the once. If you can, try to find a more expensive one that works better, lol. My bff has one that was around $40 but will charge your phone FULLY 4 times, or can charge 4 phones, it also can plug in 2 at once, super convenient!

Tips on saving your battery life:
-If you can, use airplane mode, you can still I message & facebook msg to interact
-Turn off bluetooth, and turn down brightness, and use "powersaver mode"
-The MDE app DRAINS battery like no tomorrow, I rarely use it, I'll open it in the morning to screenshot our fp for the day and then usually don't use it again!

Fantastic, fantastic tips! Thank you so much.

My recommendations:

Smallest pocketable charger - choose a "lipstick" sized charger around 3000 mAh capacity. Expect about one full recharge from it. This is the style I carry with me to the parks, since it's so tiny I barely notice I have it.
I like the Anker PowerCore. The DIS boards are replacing my URL with one to eBay at a higher price, but search Amazon for ASIN B005X1Y7I2- $9.99

Largest charger you can travel by air with - choose something at or under 10000 mAh capacity, as airline rules are beginning to block larger charging packs. Expect about three full recharges from this.
I like this Kmashi charger, because it's very cheap for the capacity, it's been reliable for me, and it has two charging ports. I bought four of them to power the centerpieces at my wedding because of the price, and ended up liking them better than many more expensive ones I owned. http://www.amazon.com/KMASHI-10000mAh-External-Portable-Powerful/dp/B00JM59JPG - $13.99

Charger for the whole family - these get pretty hefty, but if you're already hauling around a stroller or large backpack, they've got the juice to recharge everyone's phone over the course of the day! The sweet spot in pricing seems to be around 20000 mAh (about 6-7 full charges)
This Anker is a good choice, but Amazon abounds with options: http://www.amazon.com/Compact-20000mAh-Portable-Anker-PowerCore/dp/B00X5RV14Y

Fun trivia - the battery cells used in these battery packs are 18650 Lithium Ion cells - the exact same batteries used in Tesla electric cars. They're really powerful, reliable and convenient!

As for brands - you can't go wrong with Anker and they're the gold standard for cell phone accessories. But Jackery, Aukey and Ravpower are also brands I trust.

We got one for our last trip to WDW and it was a life saver. It also comes in handy here at home. I keep it in my purse and use it often.
