portable dvd dilemna

Hey everyone. We are planning on driving to disney from NJ and of course will be taking our portable dvd player! My problem is we have a minivan and the boys sit in separate rows, we have a baby who sits in the front row my 3 year old and then the 6 year old sits in the back row by himself. How will they both be able to see the dvd player, I am assuming we will put it in between my husbands and my chair in the front. We did this last time, but that was when we had the camry and they were together. I am wondering how the older one will see it, we have a small screen! Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

For the purpose of this trip can you rearrange the car seats and where the children each sit?

For both the 3 year and 6 year to be able to see the DVD player they will need to be next to each other. We also have a minivan. Although it may be a pain in the behind for strapping the kids in, could you put them both in the back row for this trip?

We have purchased 2 different portable dvd players, and both times we opted for the one that has a second screen. It works like a charm. You can put one behind each adult headrest if you only have two kids, or you can hang one between the two front seats and one on the back of the middle seat in the second row, giving the second and third row passengers access to the movie.

On the Durabrand one, you can even play a movie on the one with the dvd player in it and hook the second screen up to an external video input, like a ps2 for your older kids.

Of the two, we prefer the cheaper Durabrand one. It has a single large cable to run between the two screens. The Polaroid required 3 seperate wires to hook up and it never quite seemed to sync up the right way. I was very disappointed with it. DH bought it b/c the battery on the Durabrand was so big, and we were going to be flying internationally twice a year. But even the smaller battery didn't make up for the problems with the Polaroid.
