Will someone explain what these are and where to find them? I thought they were personal sized H2O bottles w/ filters, but can't seem to find them anywhere.

TIA!

They are plastic bottles you fill with water and then squeeze.

The trick is not to look for them! Just go to your regular supermarket and wander around in areas and aisles you don't usually go. I found them twice this way in two different grocery "superstores." This was after making a special trip to Target and learning they had never heard of such a thing! :)

Just saw them in my local supermarket too but if you can't find them there or at a local Target, Walmart, etc. you can go to www.brita.com and order direct from Brita. We used our own insulated water bottle during our last two trips but purchased the Brita water bottle filter and it worked great. The water didn't taste bad at all. Annmarie

Walmart has them, but good luck finding them! They are kept in the hardware dept. I found them down the isle with the toilet seats:rolleyes:

I don't know if you have CVS stores around you, but that's where I saw them. They were where the toys are.

Good luck.

Maria

I posted a similar thread under the Tip Board a few weeks ago. I was having the toughest luck finding these little guys.

You cannot buy it at brita.com, but it will link you to various sites where you can purchase them. This could be a last resort.

Or: if you are like me and determined to find them in a store, you need to be persistent. I went back to the same Walmart about 3 times before they had them in stock. It's touch and go, you never know! Also, people have had luck in Target and Kohl's.

Good luck.

I ordered the Brita Sports Filtration Bottle off of amazon.com last week for $5.99/each. No tax, and free shipping since I ordered enough of them to go over the $25 "super shipping" limit.

I saw them yesterday in our local Wal-Mart- $ 6.97; located in plumbing /hdwe area as stated in other posts. Next to all the faucet filters, pitchers, etc. by Britta, Braun, etc. White bottles with blue screw off cap in Britta box.

Thank you everyone, for your help! Guess I'll be scouring the unlikely places....toilet seat aisles, hardware department, Kohls clothing store....all the places you'd expect to find a water bottle!!

We forgot our Britas on our last trip, and discovered that they are pretty much NEVER available in Orlando-area stores. We tried 8 different places, and all were sold out. Elsewhere in Florida, yes, but nowhere around Orlando.

I've never been able to find any at a Target anywhere, but most WalMarts will carry them, at least in the summer. Many supermarkets have them in the bottled water aisle, near the really large bottles, usually, and usually on the very top shelf.
Also, you might try the big chain drugstores, like Walgreens or CVS. The box is dark blue with a life-sized photo of the white bottle on the front.

Culligan also makes wide-mouth filter bottles, and I've noticed that stores always seem to carry one of the other, but not both brands. Rubbermaid was making them for awhile, but I think they got out of the market; I didn't like them anyway, they did not have a wide-mouth top you could use ice with.

Found them at my local supermarket (again not looking for it....) and it was in the seasonal aisle (by the BBQ stuff). Good luck - it's a VERY worthwhile investment!

Thanks again!!

it was in the seasonal aisle (by the BBQ stuff).

Just another department to visit!! (I wonder how much more stuff I'll end up with in my basket from having to wander from department to department?! ;) )

Our local grocery stores keep them in the bottled water aisle.

Our Targets have them in the aisle with the other brita water filtration systems, near the hair dryers and curling irons!
My walmart has then next to the vacuum section! LOL

Thank you, the crazy diva, I knew I wasn't the only one who had ever found the Brita bottles by "not looking." :)

I just saw them last night at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $6.99 each. They even had the replacement filters.

Now, correct me if I'm wrong....the filter just floats inside the bottle? I thought it was connected to the mouthpiece? I'm confused. According to the directions on the box, it says to fill with water and drop in the filter, then squeeze the bottle to drink.

Is that correct? And do they REALLY work?

Thanks.

Maria

The filter does connect to the top so all of the water must pass through the filter when you squeeze it out. You have to unscrew the small part of the top, not the entire top, and then drop the filter in there. Then when you screw the small part back on it will hold the filter in place.

They are available at drugstore.com in addition to the places that have been listed so far.

I guess I've been trying too hard! (Isn't that what people tell you when you're trying to get pregnant??)
I've looked in Walmart, K-Mart and Target. I even searched with the fore-knowledge that they can be most likely found in the plumbing dept. I just tried ordering through the Amazon.com sale ($5.99/free shipping over $25) that a previous poster mentioned but the estimated shipping dates are for AFTER we leave for our trip.
Next week I will resume my search for the elusive Brita Sport Bottles. I plan on checking some local grocery superstores. If I spot them I'll post here!

This is harder than finding the right sneakers at the right price for my 11 yo DS!!!

I looked all over and finally found mine at Kmart. It was in the back of the store with the other Brita products, pitchers, etc. I wasn't sure it would work but it DID -- on our June trip I used the thing constantly. I would put some ice and icky Florida water in it every night and stick it in the little fridge. Next morning my bottle would be ready for the parks, and the water was delicious. A few times I asked for refill ice at the food places and they always gave me lots.

Keep looking -- these bottles are worth it! If you don't find one, PM or Email me and I will try to get another and send it to you. :)
