Is the foodcourt better at Riverside or French Quarter? By the looks of the menu, I am saying FQ, am I right?

Riverside foodcourt is amazing! Make your own salads and pasta as well as omlette and yogurt parfait for breakfast on top of the usual stuff.

I will agree with Riverside. The create you own pasta was good. Not that FQ was bad but I just think Riverside had a little extra.

I've never eaten at the POR foodcourt, had dinner a couple of times at Boatwright's though and it was pretty good. Anyway, we really like the POFQ foodcourt especially for the beignets and muffeletta sandwiches, love the milkshakes as well. In our experience, it's never really crazy-crowded, you can take your meal and sit at an outside table and listen to music. Never had a bad meal there. :) Also, during dinner they have ribs, fried chicken, and pot roast with veggies and mashed potatoes. The chocolate brownies are yummy.

They're both very good as food courts go, and each have their own specialties. POR has that pasta and carving station, and POFQ has beignets and muffalletta sandwiches. If you stay at one resort, you can always catch the boat to the other to check out the food court.

I think it just comes down to what your preferences are. Both are good but we preferred FQ food court.

Riverside has significantly more options. FQ is quite small and at certain times of day they have very few offerings. Yes I agree the bengiets are good but if you are planning to eat multiple meals at the food court I would opt for Riverside. The muffaletta and milk shakes are served in both locations. We found that snacks options were significantly less at FQ than at POR as well. I think the food quality at both is very similar and very good but POR essentially has everything they have at FQ plus many more with the make your own options.

It really depends on what your tastes are.

Our dining musts were the quicken quesadilla, vegetarian chili, and the chocolate chip pancakes. When Riverside underwent their dining refurb a few years back, they got rid of all of those items! We had been staying at POR for 8+ years, but we switched to FQ because all of our favorite food items moved to over there :rotfl:.

Maybe it's just me, but none of the newer items at POR appeal to me. The only thing we get there anymore is chocolate cake.

POFQ did not have vegetarian chili when I was there last week. The only veg lunch/dinner options were a veggie burger and roasted vegetable sandwich.

We only ate breakfast once at POR, but we thought it was much better than POFQ (where we had 2 breakfasts, a lunch, and a few snacks). If I were going to eat a *lot* of meals at the food court, I would agree with the folks above and do POR.

That said, it's an easy walk from one to the other. Or at least, from any part of POFQ to the POR food court is easy (it took us maybe 10 minutes, tops, and we were all the way in POFQ Building 1). The back of POR to the POFQ might be more difficult.

The vegetarian chili isn't officially on the menu, but they have it in a pot at one of the stations- you just have to ask for it (unless they have eliminated it since my last trip)

I haven't been to the FQ food court, but I have been to the POR food court. I loved the make-your-own pasta. I got us beignets for breakfast one morning too - ALMOST as good as Cafe du Monde.

We had to walk or ride the boat over to POR from POFQ to eat
at the food court because it is so much better.
Fresher food, more choices, better quality, loved the atmosphere much better
at POR Rivermill.
We have stayed at POR the year before and loved it so
we thought we would go ahead and try POFQ for our next
trip but after getting there wished we has stayed at POR again.
We liked everything about POR. That's the MOD we would return to in
the future.
