What are these rooms like? Does the trundle bed give you good room. We have three adults and two 1 year olds. Could they sleep on the trundle. Also what is PO like? What are the pros and cons?

My room at POR had a trundle bed. I didn't ask for it, and only noticed it when I looked under the bed after dropping something. I don't think the room itself is any different. The trundle bed simply could slide out from under the bed. It wasn't attached to the bed (as I thought it would have been). You could have placed the bed anywhere in the room that you wanted. I think it would be fine for a child but I wouldn't have wanted to sleep on it. Fairly thin mattress and very close to the floor. I am not sure I am uderstanding your post, but did you want BOTH 1 year olds to sleep on it? I don't think it would work unless you want to put them on separate ends. The bed itself is more narrow than a twin bed.

The trundle bed is good for a child or a very small adult. It doesn't take away from the room size because it slides right under the bed when not in use.

The only problem is that you have to remember that its out, or you'll step on someone in the middle of the night :p .

We have stayed at POR twice and will be going back this Fall. We have 2A and 3C, because of this we do get a room with a trundle. Like sjw4870 said, it pulls out from under a bed and is pretty little (my 4 yr fits well). It can become somewhat crowded at bed time with the trundle pulled out (it is right on the floor). These rooms have 2 beds, bench, tv/dresser stand, two sinks that are seperate from the toilet/shower area and a desk w/ two chairs. As far as POR in general, it is very beautiful, the grounds are well kept and there a several activities (fishing, bike riding, boat rental). The trundle rooms are part of the Alligator Bayou section (more of a rustic look), the bayou bldgs are two floors (no elevators). Hope this helps.

One child could easily sleep in the trundle and they also have portable cribs. You just have to let them know on your ressie and remind them when you check in.
