Hey guyyys(:

Have any of yall stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in Disney World? Gonna be crashin there there in June. What's the best part about it, your favorite thing about it, or something cool about it?:flower3:

Great resort...but kind of big and have to walk everywhere. It will be hot and sticky because it is Florida but the plus side is there are plenty of pools. One fun thing is definately the Piano Man at the bar...my family and I would get food from the cafeteria and then bring it there to eat and watch him. He is very interactive and if you loosen up you will have the time of your life.

well, the pool area there, called Old Man Island, is awesome!!!! and they have an excellent food court (omg get the chocolate cake.) and of course the hotel complex is in a very pretty setting. The gift shops are nice. And you're next to a river that you can meander through on a boat or walk along it to get to Port Orleans French Quarter, which is also great. i think Riverside is an amazing place to stay.
:thumbsup2

I've never stayed at Riverside, but I've been staying at French Quarter every trip to WDW, and the overall resort is so pretty. Being so close to the river makes it really awesome and being able to ride the boat down to Downtown Disney is always fun. And I totally suggest if you have some down time to take a walk over to French Quarter and check it out - I've walked over to Riverside sometimes and it's always fun looking at the other resort.

Theres alot of great things about this resort. I prefer Port Orleans french quater but this one has a cool water park area too. Its a bit out of the way, but it has a lot of stuff. The food is okay, but the water park is def. the best part.

Riverside Pros:
* - Gorgeous landscaping, especially in the "au natural"-looking Bayou section.
* - Lots of wildlife, peaceful atmosphere.
* - More places to get food.

Riverside Cons:
* - It's HUGE. If you're in one of the more remote buildings, you are in for a heck of a walk.
* - Magnolia "Mansions" are a little blah. Bayou "Shacks" are a little more rustic than you'd expect...

I just got back from a vacation at that resort! I love it there! My favorite thing is the food court thing! They have different sections with different types of food like: pizza pasta bakery bbq ect. :goodvibes
