Hi,

My daughter is going to Disney in December and are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. They are trying now to figure out which buildings to request their room to be in and can't figure out which area to go with. The room needs to have a king size bed but i would figure there would be a king sized room in at least one of each building? Preferably she would like a room close to the bus stop but not in one of the preferred buildings that you have to pay more for.

Also which part of the resort did you guys like best...the magnolia (plantation section) or the most rustic side of the alligator bayou?

Just trying to figure out buildings that aren't too much of a walk from everything.

Thanks!

There are king sized beds in the Antebellum homes which are fairly close to the bus stops and not preferred rooms. I also found this section to be the prettiest and most serene location of the resort.

I think your best bet is to ask this question in the Port Orleans Riverside thread - the moderator also has his own website which is AWESOME, literally has EVERYTHING you need to know about POR www.portorleans.org

Edited out incorrect info :)

If they want a king bed, they would have to book a king size bed category which is an upcharge. There are king beds in most every building.

The mansions as PP mentions are nice, and we have stayed in a king room in Acadian House which is not a far walk. Do be advised that all of the rooms in Parterre Place and Magnolia Terrace have been converted to Royal Rooms, so they will not be placed in either of those mansion buildings unless they book a Royal Room.

...Also there are no King beds in the Royal Rooms according to everything I've read (including the POR thread here)
