We are booked in a standard RR for November. I'm thinking I want a 2nd floor room to help with noise but we will have a double stroller with us, how practical or pain is that going to be? Also want a room close to the bridge, so what's a good place to suggest?

We are planning to order bottled water from Staples to be delivered to the resort...has anyone else done this? When should we order (i.e. how many days in advance?)?

I suggest asking for a room close to the footbridge, if that's what you want. Also ask for close to the elevator if you want an upper floor - however as the elevators are in the middle section of the building, you won't be able to get both requests fully met, and might have to settle for somewhere between.

Do FQ and Riverside share buses? Going weekend after Thanksgiving.

Also, which has the best king-bed option and what would a good king-bed request be? Thanks!

1. From what I've read, yes they do share buses, but not always. It depends on time of day and how busy they are.

2. You'd have to book a king room when you book your stay. A king room is an actual room category that you get charged extra for, not a request. You may get upgraded to a king room but that's up to castmember pixie dust, so I wouldn't expect it if that's not what you booked initially.

Thank you! Our first trip so just trying to make it great!!

Hello. Heading to Disney this October for a weeklong vacation and have a Riverside Riverview room booked but we're wondering what's the better choice: Bayou or Mansions?? We're an engaged couple in our early 30s with no kids. We stayed at Magnolia September 2012 bc it seemed to better suit our demographic (no kids) and loved our time there. But the theming looks very interesting at the Bayou and we're wondering if it's worth rolling the dice to see what the Bayou has to offer. Any suggestions are much appreciated!!

We are in the exact same boat. Only we have never stayed at POR. Early 30s and no kiddos. Heading down 10-28/11-4. I'm curious to see what people think.

DH & I are empty nesters (finally) and have found that we prefer the AB rooms over the mansions. We always book preferred though so that we are close to the food courts, buses & both the big pool & a quiet pool. If you guys have time do the carriage tour. We did that last year & it was so much fun & relaxing. We were only there for 4 days but it was something my DH wanted to do for his birthday.

I haven't stayed at POR since just after the refurb. I have a question about microwaves. I know when we were there we were the first people to stay in the AB room we stayed at, I called about a microwave and they brought it right away and apologized. Im not needing one, but I have a friend who is booked at POR for their first WDW trip and she needs one for medical reasons for her daughter. She said she called the resort and was told she would just have to walk to the food court each time she needed it, which isn't reasonable since she uses it every few hours, even through the night. Can anyone clarify if they are in the rooms or if you can get one for medical reasons?? Thanks!

There are no microwaves in any of the rooms, no. There never have been.

However the resort does have a very limited stock of microwaves which can be issued to guests on a first-come basis if you ask them - and if it's for medical reasons rather than just a regular request, I assume that would get priority treatment. I would suggest letting them know in advance that you need one.

Well, we officially booked for Nov 9-14 2015 in a preferred room! It seems sooo far away, but I'm excited! How do I add myself to the other thread of people going to be there a that time?

Just returned from our trip last night. We booked a standard royal room. I put in a request during online check in for a corner room which was honored. I believe we must have been upgraded to a garden view, because we weren't looking at a parking lot. It was a fantastic room. We found there was plenty of space. We even left our stroller open all night to let it dry out from the downpours. The buses also seemed to be operating efficiently. I can't think of a time we waited more than 10 minutes to head to a park. We may have waited 20 minutes the nights we left MK, but they had two buses back to back to clear the line quickly.

I would either request ground floor, close to the footbridge - really, I don't think noise will be a problem, or 2nd floor, close to the elevator.

I have stayed in the Mansions in the past, but I've always wanted to check out the Bayou.

So last month when I stayed at POFQ, I walked over to POR one day to walk through the AB section. Wow! What a maze! But it was kind of cool. I really loved the look of the quiet pools. All in all, I really liked the vibe in the AB and I think I might like to give this section a whirl one day.

It also felt didn't feel as hot walking around mid day in August in the Bayou section as it does for me around the Mansions.

Checking in tomorrow!!! I can't wait! It's only a 3 day trip but I've never stayed at POR so I'm super excited :)
Plus it F&W time......
