Excited for our POR stay! Looks like a great place and so much to do right there. Plus the riverboat ride to DTD will be a lot of fun for the kids. Also looking forward to the YeHaa Bob show :thumbsup2

I am a solo adult and I love those things too! I missed the show last time, but I am planning to make it next time!

We're arriving this Friday around 10:30. Looking forward to another fantastic stay.

Yay bet you can't wait.:cool1: While there can you check out what movie will be playing for the month of Sept. and report back. I'd love to know what we can expect. TIA

:thumbsup2: That's awesome! I've heard nothing but great things about the show. Will be my first time staying on property this long, only an overnight at ASR's before. But wanted to go somewhere out of the norm and this looked perfect!

You will love it! It's a beautiful resort and a great show!

I'm curious how the POR rooms that support 5 guests compare to say the Arts and Animation family suites. I noticed that AA is $1200 more for a 7 day stay than POR. Has anyone done both and if so what did you think?

Family suites are bigger and have a separate bedroom. POR has two beds and a trundle bed kind of that comes out of the wall. We did it with 5 in July world great for us. AoA is quite expensive. Allstar music also offers family suites that are cheaper than AoA.

Thank you both, we are going in March/April and this is one thing that has been bothering me the most. My youngest is disabled and we would struggle if he didnt get a seat, we were spoilt this year staying at SSR, buses were empty most days :)

If getting near the reserved seats on the bus is feasible, I would just politely ask whoever is sitting there if they wouldn't mind letting your son sit. If I'm sitting there, I try to be observant about that and those who need it sit. However, sometimes early in the morning or after a long, hot day at the park, I can get absent-minded and zone out. I bet most people would relinquish their seats when asked.

We'll be there mid-March. It will be our first stay at POR. Have a good trip.

So excited -- in just over 24 hours I'll be getting of DME at POR for a fun weekend visit! So much to do between now and then, but I know it'll all be worth it. :cool1:

Can anyone tell me if the boat will be running to DTD in Sept? I was just told by a friend that there won't be boat service there for a while, I'm hoping she's wrong. This was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel.

Really? I haven't heard that. I hope it's not true. I will be there in September as well and was looking forward to the boat ride to DTD and not having to worry about taking the buses there or looking for a parking spot in our rental car!

There is nothing on the refurb schedule for the boats or dock area. So I am leaning to unlikely!

They've only just opened the new dock at Downtown Disney, the boats will definitely be running for you.

Couple questions

I am on the fence about taking my son back to Disney for Star Wars weekends next year. We will be at POR in 30 days. What is a bounce back, and how exactly does it work? Can they only be used at the resort that you are currently at? Really on the fence about going in 2015. Disadvantages are cost, but my son will still only be 9 so dining plan is still cheaper for him. Do I have to book for all members that would travel, or can I just book for just 2 of us and add others on afterward? what about cancellations? When does that have to be done by?

And park ticket question, if I book for the 2 of us, It would be best to add days to our current park tickets now and add no expiry correct? Any idea how to figure out how much that would be? And if 2 friends come with us, would it matter if they stayed in the same room as us and had different park tickets?

Thanks for the help

I can help a little with the bounceback. It is a discount offered for a return visit booked in a specific timeframe while you are still checked in as a WDW resort guest.

You can book it for a different resort, and even switch resorts after it is booked and you are back home. Currently the offer is for free dining next Fall, but you have to book a package with at least 2 days of park tickets.
We booked a bounceback the last two years, and this year switched to POR and were able to keep free dining because of it. The cancellation policy is the same as any other package, so all you need is a $200 deposit to reserve it and it is refundable if you cancel before 45 days before arrival.

As for your questions regarding adding guests and no expiration tickets I can't be of much help. I know that all guests booked in a room need to be on the same package, so just adding two more people might be an issue. Perhaps others can help more there.
