How big are the fridges? By any chance does anyone have a photo with some typical food/drink items inside so we can judge the size?

We will be at POR Nov 16-22 do you know if the resort will have their Christmas decorations up? We were there Nov 9-16 last year and missed them.

Hi all!

We are booked for a King Room, which I know will be scattered throughout the resort. Does anyone know if there are King beds in all of the buildings, or just some? Just trying to get an idea of where I might expect to be placed. Any input on requests? Thanks in advance!

There are king rooms in every building except the 2 buildings that house the Royal Rooms.

Woohoo! Thanks to a pin, I get to come back to my original choice in a RR! Can't wait!!

24 hours from now I will be checking in to the Port!!! :cool1: Woohoo.... I can hardly believe the time is here so fast. First thing we are going to do is drop our bags in the room and head to DtD so the kids can do DisneyQuest while DW and I hang out n the shops. I do believe a visit to Ghiradelli for a Nob Hill Chill will be on the agenda too

I gave up on the discount yesterday. It took me forever to get a preferred room for our November trip. I'm going to hope for an AP or Florida resident rate discount.

I ended up calling and switched to a River view room with the discount. I'll request to be in either of the preferred buildings.

I am sooooo looking forward to our first stay at POR with my wonderful family. I have a quick question. We land at MCO at 5:39pm and are taking DME to the resort. We have a ADR at Boatwrights at 8:50pm so we should have plenty of time. I need to get my TIW card first though and am wondering which would be the quickest: DTD or Epcot? Any thoughts? Just love this thread!

EPCOT is probably quicker. Guest Services at DTD is really slow. It took us about 40 min. to get through the line and take care of business last week in the afternoon when it wasn't that busy at DTD. All the construction walls at DTD make the walk from the boat dock a bit tedious.

Thanks hildarumpole! That's exactly what I wanted to hear - I was really worried about how it would be at DTD - so Epcot it is. Can't wait. :cool1:

The last time I went to DW was 4 years ago. At that time, I ordered a case of water and had it delivered to the resort. Can this still be done ? Thx

Yes! I used Garden Grocer in February. I also got some fresh fruit. So much cheaper than buying it on property!

Looking to book July 30th, for dec 1-13th, 2015!! Deciding if a royal guest room, or a preferred room is worth the extra $$.. DH says it's not, we're not gonna be at the resort that much, but it don't want to have a long walk to the main building. It's going to be me, my DH , he'll be 30, I'll be 29.. Well have our almost 10 year old and possibly a 3-6 month old (working on that the next few months!) can't wait.. Still feels like forever tho till it happens!

We did a week in the RGR. And we were so glad we did. We loved the decor and the novelty of the room. That being said, we were glad we did, but we don't know if we'd pay for it again. Maybe if you do a split stay on the resort or in the future you could do a shorter vacation, it would be a more attractive option. As for the paying of preferred room, we liked the walks in the mornings and at night. Very relaxing.

But those are just my opinions.
