We have two rooms booked at POR RGR River View for Thanksgiving. It will be me, DH, daughter and two grandsons; 10 & 5.
We always ask for connecting rooms and so far have gotten them. I was looking at the map on Prg and couldn't figure out where the connecting rooms are.
Are the chances with our room location and view, make our chances really slim to get this request? We are getting FD and so far haven't been able to get 2 rooms with any other location at PO.

Same thing is happening for me too. Except, I can't choose FP+ yet. I bet it gets worked out in the next couple of days.

boyfriend and I just booked our stay for my birthday for September 17th-20th in one of the royal rooms with pool view. I am so excited! My first stay on disney property.!!

Yaa!!!! You'll love it -- makes a big difference staying on the property. Great choice of resorts!!

I was thinking that all the resorts have them, but I just wanted to make sure. This makes it possible for all of them to be able to do the magic bands by our January trip, which answers my question without muddling through the pages and pages and pages of magic band threads. And thank you again for being such a good host for POR & POFQ. They are our favorite resorts!

Any thoughts on if Disney might release a new round of AB rooms for free dining? I noticed again today that there are AB rooms available w/o FD but not with. We had to switch to Pop to get it, and I'm hoping to get back in to POR with our family of five. So frustrating because our littlest is only 3 (still small enough for a pak'n'play even), and it would be so easy to squeeze into one room at Pop, but we're supposed to do 2 over there...

Try sending an email to Disney telling them your desires. Let them know you will still have a magical vacation at Pop, but had your heart set for POR with free dining and your family of five. Be gracious. This is what we tried and they replied by phone in the affirmative.

Bless your family! I am pretty sure the two you named have elevators, Disney is usually very accomodating for special needs and if you fax them your situation, even call in to the reservation line saying just what you said here, it would help...then back it up with a fax.
It is hard, really horrifying, to imagine your family receiving any negative fallout on a bus or other instance...Believe me, there are people like me that if we see that happening we defend and inform!

You are right, we've been treated like royalty first time we visited. Different from everyday life. Disney is usually very good with special needs.

I made reservations on the Fantasy 25 months in advance so we can get the very last Stateroom, with a HUGE veranda (stores the wheelchair easily lol!), like we did on the Dream in 2011. DD is ecstatic! We can only have a magical cruise. What else? This is exactly why I bring her back: that's the only place in the world where she is treated like a Princess all the time and can have a break from her physical, intellectual, social and emotional effort-all-the-time life. (Which actually gives me a break too........)

It was $15/night. When I was checking in (I forgot to do online check in) I was told there wouldn't be a fridge. I told the CM that we had ordered groceries. She made a phone call to try to get us one. She gave me the credit without having to ask. It was a bit of a pain to store our stuff in the Luggage Room, but it was doable.

Can you explain more....where is the luggage room? Is it one big fridge that is open to everyone, i.e. can anyone just go in where you put your food?

PPS - can't see where we could get magic bands yet, even gray ones, but I'm much calmer about that than FP+ Strange that the stuff doesn't roll out consistently for everyone though.
