This probably doesn't belong here but I just went to sign into into my Disney account, and since I am Canadian I was very surprised to have My Disney Experience page appear. It states "The sign-in process for Disney accounts has been changed. In order to access your account, please provide the requested information." So I completed the form and I clicked the bottom 2 boxes about terms and conditons. No matter how many times I have checked them it says that there are errors on the page and highlights these boxes.

Any ideas how I can get these to be accepted? or do I need to talk to IT.

Late note. I guess I will have to call IT tomorrow--I can't get into my account until I complete this. UGH I wanted to check ADR's

I am canadian also. Yesterday was the first time I had seen the new Disney website including MDE Which is great. But I found it was glitchy all day. I was able to sync my account and link my reservations but the site just kept freezing. Haven't checked today.

I saw on one of the Disney fan facebook pages (can't remember which one now) that all of the refrigerators were fully replaced at POR. Has any one been able to confirm?
Thanks!

Just read the same. We are there next week and really hoping for a fridge. Although I called yesterday and still got a vague answer from the CM.

Fellow Canadians. I was just on the phone to Disney IT.

As they are trying to consolidate the Canadian and UK old sites to the new My Disney Experience they are having technical difficulties. The address boxes and the term of agreement boxes are known issues and he said basically just keep trying back as they are working on it.

I hope this can save a few long distance phone calls

We checked in yesterday and this is absolutely NOT true. We do not have a fridge and the front desk said they barely have enough to meet the needs of those who have medical needs.

Hi - I was on the phone on Wednesday afternoon (August 7) with a bounceback reservation person. (They always seem savvier to me than the standard reservation people, so perhaps I believe what they say a bit more - so, take this info with that background/bias.)

Anyway, she seemed very on the ball, and when I asked about the frig situation at POFQ and POR, she said that they had just received a memo that day about POR and frigs. She searched for the memo and read it to me - I can't remember the wording, and it was not crystal clear, but it said that POR will be replacing frigs "for the next month," and guests cannot be guaranteed a frig for that time. I asked about POFQ (we're doing a split stay late august), and she said no mention of POFQ, and no current memo about POFQ.

So, I probably didn't shed much light here, but it was interesting to hear something about the status.

This might not be true, but based on some other boards, Disney is supposed to be offering $15/night credits to those they can not get a frig for. Might be worth an ask.

Coming or the Jingle Jungle 5K with my niece, excited to stay here for the first timer! I am a GF girl...I booked a Royal Room, are those rooms in a better location? Not too concerned about a far walk (good practice for the run, haha) as much as I am about a nice location in general.

Chose POR over the CBR - good choice? I am afraid I have been spoiled by the GF but this place looks lovely, and I got a good deal.

I wonder how many people are claiming medical need just to get a fridge. :sad2: Unfortunately I think a lot.

I would say the same. Unfortunately. ?de12

I have a two year old who wants her milk every morning but I wouldn't claim that as medical. I'm going 22nd of November to POR. Hopefully it's squared away by them.

I have a 2 yr old also who drinks milk every night so I'm going to request a fridge 4 that reason but i wouldn't claim it was medical cuz i wouldn't want 2 take it from someone that needed it more than I did

Yes they are giving a $15 credit per night. However, this was not offered; I had to ask for it. We have continuing reservations so when I check in again tomorrow I will have to ask for the credit again.

I'm going up request one too. But like you said I wouldn't take it from someone that really it to keep medicine or some other medical reason. Hopefully we won't have to worry and they can fix the issue soon

Horizons shelf stable milk boxes. I travel with these a lot. They don't have to be refrigerated until opened so they travel well and can sit out till needed. If your child doesn't need cold milk you're set. If they do want cold then ice it down in the ice bucket surrounded by ice or put it in an ice filled ziplock until chilled. You can wrap it in a towel if needed. I've done both cooling tricks when I didn't have a fridge.

Good Morning! We are coming back to POR this spring and can't wait :thumbsup2. DH and I did CBR last year and really missed POR. This time DS will be 14 and can sleep in a bucket if he has to :rotfl2: Last time we were at POR we had a trundle bed, it was fine. This time, as I understand it, the beds are raised. My question is, can we remove the mattress and put it on the floor ? He may have a growth spurt between now and then...just don't want him to fall off, although the pictures would be priceless :thumbsup2

I don't have an answer for you! Sorryyy, I did stay there in May but I totally forget. So the only reason I had to respond was because IT MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD literally!!!!!!!!!! My twin boys will be 14 next year and I totally get the "sleeping in a bucket" my youngest just turned 10 and he is still my baby. But, the older boys, lets just say I would kinda laugh a little if one of em fell off a bed too... If they didnt get hurt of course (one is a basketball player 5'9 & taller than me) hope you get an answer to your question!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry~ but just had to reply :)

We are at POR now and bought a styrofoam cooler at publix . There is no fridge in our room And the cooler has been great to fill with ice and chill the water bottles. We didn't buy any perishable food so it's been fine. We check out on the 14th so if anyone wants it ill leave it at the desk for you. Just let me know.

Sadly, I think you might be right. Certainly the number of medical requests for fridges has jumped up a lot from the normal level. Of course, being charitable, that could be because previously it would not have been necessary to make such requests at all, but knowing human nature I'm thinking there are a few people working the system.

On the other hand guests are ingenious - I did hear of one guest who somehow filled the bathtub with ice and had their drinks arranged in it!

I don't see why not. They are removable anyway, but you might find you are OK with leaving it in place.
