Anyone know how long the campfire lasts? 5:00 interferes with our dinner plans on our DTD night and Resort night, which are pretty much our only options to get the campfire in. Looks like I might be able to modify ADR's a bit, but wonder how big of a window we've got.

Trying to squeeze so much in....!!

I am sooo excited too! This will be our first onsite stay and I think I'm as giddy as my dd6 about the Royal Guest Room. POR looks like such a wonderful resort ~ I'm so glad we get to try it out!

How exciting that it's your first onsite stay! We have stayed at POFQ before and have visited POR, but it will be our first time staying there (and my last moderate resort to stay at). Our 6 and 10 year olds have no idea about the trip. They know we go every June so I've never really had the opportunity to surprise them. We plan on telling them about a week before -- I can't wait! They saw the fireworks headboard on the recent Disney parks planning DVD, and they were like, "Wow!", so hopefully they'll get past the fact that it's a little princessy -- they know and like all of the Disney movies with princesses, though, so I think they'll be just fine.

I just read on Andre's site about the white comforters taking over the resort rooms now. Does anyone know if they are in the Royal Rooms yet? We are arriving in a couple weeks and just wondered.

Yes.

I had no idea until I read that...seems crazy they didn't just do that with the remodel. Does anyone have pics of the royal rooms with them?

I am definitely more excited about our trip than Christmas! It lasts a lot longer and I don't have to cook!

Just booked a May 2014 POR reservation for a surprise 40th birthday present for my DW. This will be my first time staying onsite and her first in anything but a value. Hope all goes well and the surprise is kept until the day before we are leaving.

I was planning to do a 3/3 split with POR and AKL Savannah View, but the CM I was on the phone talked me out of it because of the inconvience of moving from one resort to another. I thought it would be pretty easy from what I've read on here, but ended up going with a 6 night POR for the trip. Some reason I got the feeling it was more inconvient for her to do the booking.

ADRs can be made in a week. Now to figure out where to eat and what days.

I have booked two Garden View Royal Rooms for November 2013 and have requested connecting rooms as the second room is for my 4 small children. I know that they cant be guaranteed but just wondered if anyone knows the number of connecting rooms in each category so I can book in the category that has the most.
Thankyou

Is the south depot always the most crowded? But you stand the best chance if getting on because it's first? Are there cast members at this stop?

We have had 2 stays at POR and never had any issues with getting on a bus. Most days we would jump on the stop closest to our rooms and never even had to stand let alone not get on a bus. Yes, the South stop is usually the most crowded because most people grab breakfast and then head to the South stop.

Since the talk is busses... We stayed during peak holiday season. Yes, there was a wait. But it was always like 10-20 minutes top. We'd sit and eat breakfast, drink coffee, and wait for our bus. Most breakfasts were in the main station. :) In fact, we met a lot of nice people while hanging out for the bus. I'm definitely looking forward to our next stay.

I don't want to go off-topic, but I'm curious as to what the CM said about doing a split. I'm also considering doing a 3/3 or 4/3 split, first at POR and then at YC. From what I've read on here, it sounds like it's very easy to move resorts, that it's basically done for you while you go out for the day to the parks.
