We booked last Sept for a 1 bedroom in OKW. I rec'd a PIN code offer via email yesterday. So yes you can still perhaps get a PIN when you have an existing reservation. Unfortunately I couldn't get it applied to our reservation at OKW and had to switch to SSR. Still we are saving $700 so it is worth it. Just be prepared to move if you get a PIN - but maybe not. That's just how it worked in our situation.

Did they happen to give you a list of all the resorts the PIN is good for during your stay in August?

No they didn't. The email PIN just says what isn't included: excludes 3 bedroom villas, campsites, AOA and Villas at Grand Floridian. Of course the number of PIN rooms at the available resorts are limited and once they're gone - that's it. I think that is what happened in our case.

Last year I had to call to see if I had a PIN as I never received an email. Can you tell me what the email is titled so that I can be on the look-out for it?

It's from Disney Destinations and the subject heading in the email reads:

Visit again and save on the magic!

I hope you get one. This is the first time I have ever rec'd one - it was quite a nice surprise.

I bet it was a nice surprise! Thanks for your help ~ I'll be keeping an eye on my email a little more closely with my fingers crossed :)

At AB, do all the rooms have the trundle bed?

None do any more, they all have a fold-down murphy bed instead - which is way cooler. The only exception is the specially adapted Wheelchair Accessible rooms which just have two queen beds (or one King bed).

How light-blocking is the curtain separating the sleeping area from the sink?

I'll be running the Princess Half and getting up at 2:30am (EEK!) and I'd rather not wake up the kids at that crazy early time. If I turn the light on by the sink and close the curtains, does that block most of the light? Do the curtains even reach the floor/ceiling?

I ran for marathon weekend and also didn't want to wake up the others. Curtain was fine for blocking the light. Even though they woke up anyway from the wake up call.

The curtain works well. I got up every morning and dressed before waking the kids and they are light sleepers.

Not a resort specific question but where in Disney can you purchase stamps to mail a postcard to canada? My cousin will be there next month and I was thinking of having her mail a postcard to my kids (and my friends kids) from "Mickey" from the magic kingdom saying see you soon, or something like that.

You can get international stamps in the gift shop at each resort. We do this every year and they'll even mail it for you :-)

Question,

This is our first time staying here and I have a question. A some of the other Disney resorts, even though the food court "closes", you are still able to access it and get drink refills in the refill mugs even after closing at midnight.

I am curious if you can do the same here? Anybody know? Thanks.

You can still walk through the food court all night, but everything is shut down. From memory the drinks dispensers are not available as they do the cleaning and refilling overnight, but it might be that one side is left available while they work on the other? I don't think so though.

Thank you.. If they mail them for you are they still stamped "from Disney world" as I hear ones mailed from Main Street in the magic kingdom are.. Also do you happen to know the price of an international stamp?

We have a Royal room booked for our May trip. My in laws and my parents are also going with us but they booked a standard room. I know my daughter will want to visit there rooms. Will they try to get us as close as possible I know it's a different building but hope they would get a close one. Should we downgrade to a standard room? Is it possible to get 3 standard rooms side by side? I'm not certain it worth the headache of going back and forth we do spend a lot of time at our resorts. We stayed in the Bayou last trip but it was just our family.

Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

The curtains really don't block a lot of light, I still don't turn a light on, I bring a nightlight or leave the light on in the bathroom and pull the door slightly so the fan doesn't wake people up.

We are going in three weeks and have the same situation scheduled. We have a RR reserved and our in-laws, who arrive 5 days later than us, have a regular room. Our TA called the resort, and they suggested to tell the check-in desk when we arrive about the situation once they have our room all set and then they will try their best to keep them as close as possible. My TA has even said that resorts have even provided free upgrades in the past just to keep multiple families together. I'll let you know how it worked for us after our experience. Keep your fingers crossed for some pixie dust for us :thumbsup2

I haven't been in a long time, but I remember seeing the drink dispensers wrapped in plastic wrap overnight so that they can't be used.
