What a day!!! After deciding to change our ressie at CBR (we'll try them after their refurb), deciding the extra cost to go to WL wasn't in the cards, DH agree to try POR! Yippee

Wow! We arrived today for our first stay at POR and were blown away - it's beautiful, the grounds and the room. Rumours of its vast size were way overstated, it's an easy walk. It's right up there with AKL for us.

If anyone out there is going from a deluxe to POR, and is worried that it will feel like a step down, don't.

Wow! We arrived today for our first stay at POR and were blown away - it's beautiful, the grounds and the room. Rumours of its vast size were way overstated, it's an easy walk. It's right up there with AKL for us.

If anyone out there is going from a deluxe to POR, and is worried that it will feel like a step down, don't.

We just walked out of there after a few drinks. The appetizers by the bar are AMAZING

I have a stroller we will be leaving behind this Sunday 11/17 at POR. We thought we could make it through the week without one and were on our way to buy one when we found a stroller sitting at port orleans with a note that it was no longer needed. (Thank you!!)

We would like to leave it for another family to use. It's a nicer umbrella stroller from Walmart I believe. Please pm me if you're interested and I can leave it at the front desk for you.

Two weeks from tonight we'll be going to sleep early and waking at 3am to start on our journey to POR! Can't wait!

We arrived tonight and are loving it! We requested building 16 and got it!! We did online check in and it was very quick however it was 9:15 at night. Magic bands work great so far. We had a quick meal at the food court and now I'm waiting for our luggage. Thanks for all the advice on this thread and a big thanks you to Andre and Venum!!! Oh and we have a fridge so I was thrilled. Sea world tomorrow!

I don't write much but have been following these threads for a long time. The information given is invaluable for sure so thanks to all who keep it running. Just have a few questions if can get help. We are staying at POR December 6-13, 3 adults, 13 year old and 2 year. We requested alligator bayou and ground floor but wondering what else should ask when send fax. We booked standard as not big deal when booked but then mom in law decided to come but not able to switch to preferred. Was going to try when got closer to our date to see if available for preferred but we suffered a miscarriage and used that money for hospital copay. Mom has bad heart so looking for what building to request for near front and near bus stop. Any suggestions? Wanting to make magical for all as the miscarriage affected all ofus pretty badly as was twelve weeks and showing when it happened so want to take away some hurt for my family and make great memories

I'm so sorry for your loss and the pain you and your family must be going through.

For a Standard View Alligator Bayou room at POR, I would suggest requesting a room in buildings 16 or 17. The important thing is to explain that you would like a room fairly close to the main building because your extra additional guest has a heart condition, so you are trying to minimise the walking distances. Ground floor would definitely be better for you as there are no elevators in the AB section.

I have a question regarding a Garden Grocer order that we intend to have delivered to POR on our check in day (11/30) if anyone can help with the answer.

Does Bell Services bring the GG order to your room or do you go and pick it up from them? If they deliver, do you have to be in your room to accept the delivery?

Just wondering because we plan on getting to Epcot pretty soon after we check in and won't be back in our room until 10pm or so. If we need to we'll arrange our schedule for the GG pick-up/delivery.

Any help would be appreciated! First time we've ever used Garden Grocer!
