Port Orleans..Riverside? French Quarter?

Well we have booked the FQ for 8/10-8/16 with an AAA discount!! We are still deciding whether to get AP's for future trips or just get a MYW ticket. Now I need some advise about where to request a room and I need to add a ticker!!!!!

:yay:
I am very excited!!!!!

Congrats on making your decision! :thumbsup2 My vote would be for POFQ too - small size makes it so convenient no matter what room you are in. We had building 5, which was great for pool, food court and buses. Have fun!

POFQ was the resort I had chosen to orginally book for our 2008 trip because the room looked like the perfect size. We also loved the smaller resort size and the decorations of the resort.

I did change to a Deluxe for 2008 (surprised my family!) but POFQ is still on my list of WDW resorts I'd like to stay at someday.

Where did you decide to stay instead???

One of the reasons I think that POFQ is so nice is that
any location you are put in is very nice and they all look
alike with a few different features in the courtyards.
Plus even if the buildings you were placed is as far away as it
goes it is still a very short walk to the main building and food court.
We stayed at POR last year in the Mansion section and thought it was also very nice but can be farther to walk to Main building than POFQ.

We were able to visit POFQ while staying at POR and I preferred the POFQ
pool because it was less crowded and seemed to not have a overload
of chemicals to irritate the skin like the POR pool had (because of the large amount of kids in the pool).

I also loved the Hot Tub better at POFQ because it was larger and not right next to the pool (it was kinda hidden in a quiet area).
I don't know if this will discourage little kids from getting into it or not because the HT at POR was overrun by kids because it was right next to the pool. There was a limit of 7 people that could be in that hot tub and I counted 18 people (mostly Kids) not sure where there parents were.
Kids were not suppose to be in the HT w/out the Parents.
So I could not enjoy the HT at POR.

Have a Great Trip, you won't be disappointed with POFQ! :thumbsup2

You're at Disneyworld, how much time are you really staying im your room?
POFQ is nice because everything is close. Food court can get a little crowded at peak times but so can POR.
First on, first off is nice for buses. It only takes 5 minutes to hit a 4 stops at POR. Many times no one is waiting at a "Depot" and the bus breezes right on by. As for the crowd leaving the parks, all resorts have packed busses at closing time.
