Just saw this also this morning, confirmed.
A bit of info I picked up from another source indicates that the current wi-fi may only cover the lobby, entranceway, bus stops and main pool area (a service which is also launching at other WDW resorts) rather than full resort-wide in-room access just yet... We'll know soon enough anyway.
I do know it's definitely working in the main building now though. (Thanks!)
Andre
We are currently in 3133& 3134 and it's working in both!![]()
Venomhatch,
I noticed that for the last few years you have gone to Disney at the beginning of February. We have gone in late Jan/ early Feb and in 2010 we froze. I realize it was a very cold year that year and even in March, people froze that year. Since then, we go at the beginning of March but it causes problems for my kids in school because of testing. Can you tell me what your experiences have been weather wise the weeks you went? I don't like wearing sweatshirts the whole time or not being able to swim. TIA!!
Florida winter weather is unpredictable, I live here. Check out the forecast before you leave, but be prepared for anything.
WI-FI is UP-N-RUNNING as I type this on my IPad from POR...bldg 36!!!!
All of our devices are finding it!

We are staying at POR from Jan 4-11. We are a group of 13 with 4 room reservations. I am going to send a fax the week before to request rooms close together, we also did this when we booked our rooms. I had originally requested either Oak or Magnolia but should I be worried about the work going on with the new royal rooms??
Excellent news, glad it's working for you. What SSID (wireless network name) are they using, so I can update all the details? I assume it is using simple Open security, rather than you needing a password or anything?
