I am here now: they are Mr. Coffee pots and the coffee is Cafe Valet.

Head over to allearsnet and do a search for coffee. I traveled with two coffee people a few yeafs ago. They tell you which resorts and which places in the parks have decent coffee. They will tell you brands or if it is pressed coffee.

Does anyone know of a travel sized k cup machine. Something you'd be able to put in checked baggage? We are flying and well we could go without it, but wouldn't like to. Thanks.

As far as coffee, has anyone tried the Starbucks Via? It's very good and comes in small little packets-easily packable. :thumbsup2 All you need is some hot water. Last week my Keurig wasn't working and I used the Via instead. I've also taken it camping.

My husband and I have talked about bringing these. Is hot water from the tap hot enough to make them?

They have hot water in the food court, but if you want it for your room, you could always pick up one of the electric teapots to boil water (I've seen them as cheap as $10).

Or you could just run a coffee maker cycle without any coffee in the machine. I do that all the time when traveling to make hot tea in the room in the evenings. Just make sure to run and dump one cycle just to clean out any filter-basket gunk like stray coffee grounds first.

What we do for good coffee is simpler - we pack a small bag of DH's preferred brand of coffee and a week's worth of filters in a zip-lock. The coffee pots are 4 cup basket style so you can get filters just about anywhere, and then you aren't at the mercy of lousy hospitality-grade coffee packets or food court Nescafe for your fix.

That's what I was going to suggest. :thumbsup2

We leave in just over 2 weeks and I had a question about room requests.

There will be 6 of us, including the baby, so I know that we will be in AB. I would like to request a refurbished room, Pooh sized people don't fit well into full sized beds, but I am not sure how to send a request. I heard that you were supposed to fax the resort, then I heard no, they changed how they do it. How do I send a request? I am not asking for a specific building,, just a refurbed room and I really hope we get it.

I am happy to be going, though a little nervous about how the baby and 2 year old will handle being away from home for so long. Wish us luck! :rotfl:

You can call the resort or go through a travel agent if you did originally, and have them add your request for refurbed room because of the bigger beds. Also the earlier you show up there the better chance you have of getting one.
