Beautiful pics Mike!....as always! :thumbsup2
BTW....my daughter is enjoying your beautiful hometown...attending MBTS in KC, she has fallen in love with Kansas City! ;)

Our family of 4 just returned from POR. It was our first stay at this resort. I must say it was great. For the past two years we have stayed at the Poly and the deluxe garden view room there seemed darker, smaller and shabbier than what we experienced at the POR.

We asked for a refurbished room at either Acadia or Magnolia. We received a ground floor, standard room, facing the green (not parking lot) at Acadia. It was room 8032. Would recommend this room. Very close to the bus stop (North) and not to far from pool and food court. We enjoyed the movies at night and the marshmellow roast. The only bus problem we encountered was being passed by two busses already filled to go to EPCOT one evening.

The pool slide was a little lame (according to my 7 and 8 yo) but the pool games and bingo were a huge hit. Best pool activities ever. The POR is one of WDWs best kept secret.

PSSST-not to highjack but what is butterbeer?

It's the wizard's choice of beverage in the Harry Potter universe. A muggle version of it is sold at Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It's really quite nice, in a cool butterscotchy way. I like the frozen (slushy) version.

Hey all. We just got home Oct 8th from an absolutely wonderful stay at POR! We were first put in AB 38 and I asked nicely if there was anything in Acadian House (I had requested this but had not got it) and the wonderful CM got us into a beautiful room 8255 with a free upgrade to riverview!

It was a trip celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and it was truly magical :cloud9: From the beautiful resort, to the treatment we received by the CMs, to the perfect weather. I could not have asked for anything more.....even my kids got along :rotfl:

My poor little 7yo had to comfort me at the ME bus stop I was so sad to leave this amazing place.

I hope all of you getting set to go have the same type of experience I had the privilege of experiencing.

ENJOY!

There is nothing worse than that last walk to the ME bus; I almost cry every time.

Oh my gosh you guys are getting me so very excited for our first stay at POR...can't believe I have to wait unit February 2012...we got free dining also a first for us...too good to pass up  We are actually going to WDW in a few weeks and staying offsite :( with my brother and parents, we may just have to take a detour to POR to check it out ;)

Yeah I get extremely depressed leaving the resort, I just try to appear strong for the family. But since I am originally from Orlando, born there. It feels like I am home the moment the plane touches down In Orlando, for me. But when I leave to go back to Virginia I get so sad.

I am so glad to hear this as we are heading there in less than 2 weeks!!:dance3::dance3:

Definately have my mind made up for our 1st vacation @ POR! Not going for another 7 months, but I already can't wait!

I'd love to stay in mansion buildings. What's the closest to the food court?

Beautiful photo Mike! Thanks,

Nice it is almost like I am leaning over the edge. I can almost smell the smells and hear the sounds.

Thank you Thank you Thank you. I personally like the photo for the reflection in the water.

Hope she's having a great time here in KC. The weather is perfect right now and its suppose to continue into the weekend. She should stop by the Country Club Plaza if she gets a chance. Great place to stroll, shop, and dine. Which part of the city is she staying in?
