I think some of y'all have shipped water down via walmart. We are to arrive Saturday 9/1, and it says it wont show up until 9/5?? When I ordered it, it said expected arrival, 8/30-9/4? Any ideas?? Has anyone had an earlier than expected order arrival date?

I know yall may not know, but I thought I remember somebody on here ordering some, and it arriving earlier than what they thought.

SOOOOOOO, EXCITED< <<<<<< 4 DAYS!!!

ROYAL ROOM HERE WE COME!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

In most cases it is closer to first date, but I always tell people to ship with 2 day, next day air, etc right before you leave that way it is guaranteed to be there when you need it to be.

Thanks so much! I will bring extra diapers, etc. down... Just in case. I hate to not have the water down there till until 9/5.. I cant see it taking that long, but maybe cause of Labor day, weather etc... Thank you again! Ten nights @ Disney here WE COME!

When it comes to traveling on a holiday weekend in the height of hurricane season, you need to have a plan B.

There is 1.5 liter bottles of water in the general store that fit in the door of the fridge nicely.

Today I switched from CSR to POR for our October trip! It's a special mom and me trip to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday so we chose a Royal Room. I'm very excited but nervous because I know nothing about POR! :scared:

We're also "jumping ship" on CSR and booked POR for our February trip; we reserved Royal Rooms as well, so far 8 total for our family (mostly in-laws, I married in to a large family):grouphug:. Looking at all the information on Andre's site; I think we're going to have a wonderful time!

No sorry. Those rooms are typically geared to 5 person occupancy.

Not true!! We were there in April and we had a regular 2 queen/ Murphy bed, but my parents were around the corner on building 37 with us in AB, and they had a king with a Murphy bed. They did not need or request it, but DID have one. I know for a fact because my DS slept on it the last night because he loved it and DD would not budge, it was HER bed. So, YES they do have rooms with king bed and Murphy bed, just not sure how many.

How many days are you there for? Congrats on jumping ship!

I have never ordered from Walmart , In the past I have always ordered from Costco and it is there in 3 days. Last trip I ordered from Staples and it was cheaper and would arrive in 2 days. I ordered a week in advance and told them to deliver the water a day before we arrived.

Hey Andre, I think I few pages back you said you were going to see YeeHa Bob on Wednesday Aug. 22. Where you there? If so, what show? I was at the 8:30.

It was Thursday 23rd. I met up with one DISer before our 7pm meal, but I didn't see anyone from here at Bob's show afterwards.

Good morning everyone!!! Who is off to POR today? Anyone?

I'm going home in the morning.... :(

There were children screaming and squealing and playing games outside of building 27 last night around midnight.

I'd go out and tell them to be quiet - in fact I did just that a few days ago when two kids were running up and down and being loud in the corridor at 7:30am. Not a general problem though, otherwise it's been nice and quiet, even in AB14 facing the main pathway.

When faxing in a room request, do you usually include the reservation number, or is a name/address enough?

Yes, and please also see http://www.portorleans.org/room-requests.php.

Is there such a thing as a King room in the Alligator Bayou section with a murphy bed?

Yes, in fact ALL of the King Rooms in AB actually now have Murphy beds as standard fittings. I got a photo of one last week. However at present the WDW booking system does not allow parties of three to be allocated to King rooms, so they are currently not a lot of use until that is fixed.

Andre

Maybe because of the hurricane it is being delayed? Mine got there way earlier than expected but I ordered it three weeks early, lol.

We'll be there 2/21/13-3/2/13 - I think I replied back to you a few pages ago; you'll be actually taking a break from work and vacationing yourself right before that time, correct?

Hi everyone,
We just returned from 7 nights at POR in a Royal Room. It was our first visit to Disney World, and we couldn't have asked for more. I have two DD's (4 and 7) who just loved the fact that they were invited to stay in "Tiana's Room". The resort was fantastic in every way. We did have a few long waits for the busses, but it must all be timing, and I think you would get that at any resort. We were lucky enough to be chosen as the family (along with our travelling partners) to open the Magic Kingdom last Thursday the 23rd. It was a truly amazing experience, and I thank all of those on here who recommended to go early for rope drop (if anyone else happened to be there on that date, and has a video of rope drop, could you please PM me, would love to see it).

We enjoyed everything about our first Vacation at Disney World and POR that I didn't even hesitate to book the bounce back offer for next year to return again with free dining. So, on that note, it is time to change my ticker, and start planning for August 20-27, 2013.

Everyone on their way to the resort for the first time, you will absolutely love POR. Cheers.

We leave for Port Orleans Riverside in about 15 hours! I'm so excited :yay:

This is my 2nd trip to WDW & first time staying in a moderate resort. :)
