My sons were playing a game on my computer, so I was OBSESSING over my potential disney trip on paper. LOL
SIGH.

I have my TWELFTH plan in place, I think.

Now if they would just announce free dining for Feb.
And do it BEFORE my 180 day ADR window.
And if they could do that in a private postcard or email to me, before everyone else, that would be helpful.
And keep a two standard rooms in AB near the food court open for me.
I don't think I'm being unreasonable!
:lmao:

Nah not at all... lol. But I believe Free Dining will could be announced anywhere from August 20th to October. That wouldn't be fair if they sent you a post card before everyone else. lol.

A little over a month til we arrive at POR! Also, I'm over 1,000 posts on the DIS! :cool1:

I noticed in your sig that you mostly visit WDW in August. We'll be in POR from Aug 15th - 28th. Is that an exceptionally busy time within the resort and the parks?

With every payment I make, I keep getting more excited about my December trip. One of things I am really looking forward to will be the expressions on my in-laws' faces, when we get there. They haven't been to WDW since the mid 80's. It goes without saying that before you get to your resort, there are few breath taking moments, when you are en route. When you go through the Welcome to Disney point on the highway. And the 1st time you can make out the Castle and Spaceship Earth (aka the Golf Ball).

But on our last trip, I will never forget the gasps and the look of awe on my then grilfriend/now fiance' 's face when we got out of the cab at the POR. The front entrance (gasp). The lobby (gasp). Seeing the main building from the mill side (gasp). But the one moment that really struck her (and me, and several others I'm sure), is the the 1st time you cross a bridge on your way to your room, and you stop 1/2 way over and just look down the peaceful river. You can just stand there and not blink and never be bored. I can't wait to share that with the in-laws.

Hi there...

Sorry if my english isn't so good, I'm from México and I have a lot without practicing my english.

I'm going to WDW for my honeymoon (I'm so excited about it!!!). I've been looking around this and other websites and I'd like to take a carriage ride with my future wife :), but we aren't going to stay on property. So I want to know if we could take a carriage ride even though we aren't staying on property or if it's only for WDW Resort guests.

Aleg- it's not overly busy, moderate crowds. Make use of early mornings, Fastpass, and cool down breaks to make the most of touring in the August heat.

You CAN go on a carriage ride even if you're not staying on property.

Well I DID get a PIN postcard for a fall free dining discount before the sale broke, so a girl can hope!

Hoping for FD too in February - without blackout dates during my stay.
So would it be "unreasonable" that you would share the private postcard; say with a few friends in this thread. :rolleyes1

Arrgggh pesky DISboards

So, I went as a kid (1980 & 1988 - shush your comments! :p)

It was a first trip for hubby and daughter last year and first for all staying on-site. It was *sings* M-A-G-I-C-A-L :cloud9:

This time, because of these wonderful DISboards I decided to 'plan' better.

I am ashamed to say I have CREATED A TRI-FOLD PLANNER that has each days schedules, then sections with TIPS, ADRs numbers. IT EVEN HAS AN AWESOME FRONT COVER DESIGN.

Pesky DISboards

:teeth:

oooo do you have pictures????? I was NOT organzied enough for our last trip. leading to some late nights and us missing stuff, despite my best intentions.

Nannye- Glad you had a good trip! How did V do in the heat with her costumes? I have some costume changes for my 2. I'm planning on having them wear them to the character meal or go to M&G first thing for the photo op then changing them into regular clothes.
hmmmm I would say fine. her Rapunzel dress she wore all day. She is a kid who doesn't complain much and she was in a stroller walking. I had to do a little negotiating on some. lol other costumes were very clothes related, shirt and skirt. She wore her Alice costume to meet alice and ride the teacups and then we changed afterwards. I got suckered into buying her an aurora costume from BBB big mistake as it is hard to get on and off and she complained it itched. Her pirate costume was another problem, but not because of the costume, more so because she was tired and crabby and initially didn't want to do Pirates league and my mom made her costume and it was a bit itchy. Otherwise fine. It will just depend on what the costumes are I guess. some kids won't wear them, but V is one who wore her rapunzel dress all day. Keep in mind she was in a stroller too. Next time she won't be in a stroller she will be walking so I don't expect she will wear it all day.

Tri-Fold huh... We just use a mini planner usually in the school supplies area like now in every Walmart. Just write it all down and let the rest just happen.
