Does POR have a place that does the hair wrap? You know the thing where you get to pick what color strings you want them to used to wrap a piece of your hair and you can have beads put on the end of it. If POR doesn't, does Downtown Disney? I am the only girl in my group and I will have to do it at a time where my hubby and son are doing something else.

Yes, right outside the lobby near the boat dock. They are open 9am-5pm, but don't go at 5pm expecting to get your hair wrapped because if there were several girls in line, she started turning people away around 4:15 so she would be done with everyone by 5pm.

Reasonably good, as long as the resort is not too busy and/or the room you're in is not specifically needed for another guest (e.g. Accessible/etc). You can ask for up to 1pm without incurring any extra charge. Oh, and if you've got more than one room in your booking you will only be able to keep one of them beyond the normal 11am.

I'm guessing that everyone here will now be asking for refurbed rooms, but just in case anyone does get a NON-refurbished Alligator Bayou room, could you maybe check the exact size of the current trundle bed mattress? I measured one as 70"x30" a few years ago, but that figure never tied in with what Disney were saying and it'd be kinda fun to know for sure before the last few go away forever at the end of June. If you don't have a tape measure with you, use a piece of paper (placed side-by-side multiple times, and then mark off the length of the final bit which you can measure when you get back home). That was the original tentative date, before the mid-way delays happened. So unless they've managed to catch up that time, I think it might be a week or two later than that. I'm guessing around 22 June.

The second phase of the work is a bit more extensive than the first though... was the person you spoke to definitely on-site at POR by the way, or just checking on a computer screen which may not have been updated since the original dates were annoucemed? Just curious.

Yep, there are ice machines on every floor of every building. Plus a fridge in your room, but that does not have an ice compartment.

Anyone have pictures or can tell me what the most recent refillable mug looks like? I'm guessing they don't have resort specific any longer. What colors do they have also?

Glad someone asked about the ice. So all AB buildings have ice on both floors, correct? And are they large bins so you don't have to worry about them running out?

Well...definitely is a pretty strong word so I can't commit. But after the first CM put me on hold and still couldn't find the info., I suggested that maybe I could be connected to the actual resort and with that, she transferred me to a new CM who I was led to believe was onsite, but who really knows for sure.
I'll know for sure on the 11th, though!

• I have a mold allergy which may be one reason the Mansions look more appealing to me since I’m concerned that my allergies would be worse in the lovely, woodsy setting. Should my allergy somehow be noted in my reservation?

I have a pretty severe mold allergy and might have thought the same thing, but I wasn't affected any differently in AB, then anywhere else while in Florida. I was there in March though so I don't know if that matters.

Lehuaann - I believe that people have reported that the murphy bed is actually shorter than the trundles were. Although Disney rates them for 9 and under many folks have reported that their 10, 11 & 12 year-olds were fine on them. One mom measured her daughter and found that she is 63" tall. OTOH, a 7 year old boy was fine but his 5 year old brother reported it as uncomfortable.

My 11 and 12 year olds said the bed was just fine. I just asked them. They said it wasn't the most comfortable bed they ever slept on but it was fine and nothing to complain about. They are 5'3 and 5'4

Staying at POR 6/15-6/24. DS16 DD10 and me. We are driving from NJ. Can I take my car and park at POFQ and take that bus for nights we will stay at a park late? I know sometimes the buses get crowded. Plus I am now partially handicapped. 1 knee is getting replaced in September or October and my other knee is getting worse. So I have a brace and cane and walk with a limp and lots of Advil. Thanks in advance for any info. Scott
