Don't feel bad, I think there was a minor outbreak of grumpy pessimism virus around here last night.

You have been allocated a particular room arrangement by the MANGER of the on-site room assignment team, not by some anonymous person at a call center, and he felt confident enough in his systems and processes to personally email you to confirm what he has done. Sure, there's always still a chance that it might not happen for some unusual reason*, but the odds are that an assignment that he has specifically blocked out will not be overridden by anyone else without a VERY good reason.

* Caveat: yes, the rooms you have been assigned could have to be taken out of inventory due to some unforeseeable situation with a previous occupant or other damage... or the hotel could close a whole building due to a tsunami and the Sassagoula River flooding its banks... or Walt Disney World could suffer an earthquake and have to close for six months... In short, nothing in life is 100% certain, but in all probability you will get exactly what the manager has reserved for you.

I hope you have a great time, and your rooms are just what you want them to be.

Yes, as long as they are under the age of 3, you are fine.

We did it last year with two couples and the infant in one room and the five year old and I were in the other room.

Mousekeeping will come in and set up the pak n' play and will make it up each day, when they do their regular rounds. They will push back the table and chairs and place it in front of them. So you won't have much access to the chairs, but you will be able to use the table top.

When stayed in Magnolia Bend last year we got a pack n play for our one year old and he slept great in it. I put extra towels we requested from mouse keeping under the sheet for a little extra padding. We placed the packnplay between the tv stand and the wall the safe is on near the bathroom and it fit there great with no restriction to us using the room and walking around.

First of all, Happy Birthday Andre!!

We're going to be driving to POR in just over 3 weeks, staying in a RR. I read on some other resort boards complaints about the refrigerators, specifically they don't cool very well at all (@ Poly maybe?). I don't think I've read such here, but just wanted to double check. Since we are driving, I was thinking of bringing some yogurt, milk (for cereal), etc., for breakfast in the room since we have young kiddos. Any reason to think the refrigerators might not keep dairy products cool enough? TIA!!

Ok now I'm conflicted. I'm in the same boat as the OP that got the pixie dust upgrade - we are 2 parties traveling together with 2 rooms - 2 booked a Royal Room, 2 did not. The ressie numbers are linked with a request (thru CRO) for our room to be in Magnolia, or to be as close as possible to the others in the Royal Room. However - the 2 of us that didn't book a Royal Room don't want one. Sooooo....now I'm thinking I should just remove my request. I wouldn't want to be given a free upgrade & then seem ungracious by not taking it! I realize these pixie dusts are far & few between, but just my luck I'd get the upgrade to RGR when I don't want it!

I do remember Venom's upgrade to CL at Poly that didn't manifest when he got there, and it's happened to us as well, so I guess it does & can happen. Venom - you're so defensive - don't be embarrassed to admit they didn't give you what they told you! We had a room category booked that was "unavailable" at check-in once. It was disappointing but they did refund the money. So it can happen. But OP it sounds like you have some inside info & are set to go. Enjoy!

Jumping in ... We found if we didn't completely fill the fridge it stayed cool. If you over fill it it's harder to keep it cold. Now I like my drinks COLD, so others might have had a different experience

I even got the room I wanted if I didn't get CL, Check out my Trip Report. But I did get what I originally was offered before asking about CL. But that is another resort thread not for here and here is a famous quote thanks to the moderator that said stop that apparently goes unnoticed.

Again - why so defensive?? I didn't say you did anything, I think you took my post the completely the wrong way. Why would you throw a mod's quote at me & say I didn't notice it? That has absolutely nothing to do with me. I was simply referring to the fact that many long time posters here were concerned for the OP that her upgrade is not 100% guaranteed, I was posting facts to prove that point. Everyone here hopes she gets it, we were just giving examples of people right here on the POR thread that had the opposite happen to them, myself included. You're the only one getting all up in arms over something that apparantely happened or didn't happen at Poly!

I can't see why Mr Elg, the room coordinator, would go out of his way to e-mail me that this is what he is doing and then it not happen. He said "I WILL place you in a 2nd floor corner room and your parents beside you." He didn't just say he would try to do it.

Our refrigerator worked well until the last night. Not sure if it it quit cooling or if the door was ajar.
