Hey Stan long time... You can leave it with front desk and have them put a note on the reservation for who ever checks them in that there is something for them at front desk. They are pretty good with that.

Thanks Venom that was quick! Do you have your iPad under your arm at all times? LoL

Wondering, does POR have a splash pad for the kids? My kids prefer playing in a splash pad over the pools. If there are no splash pads, are there non pool water activities for the kids where they can play in/with the water? Thanks!

Thank you, Andre for starting the new thread! I have had your website on my favorites for a few years now and can't thank you enough for all your information.

One question though: is there a dresser in the new AB rooms? From what I can gather, there is only storage underneath the Murphy bed. Not that I mind overly much, we live out of suitcases when we travel to WDW, but I did like the dresser drawers for storing our crackers and pop tarts and such. Also (I know, I said one question....sorry :)), is there still a shelf over the fridge?

Thanks!!!

(I'm psychotic and have already booked our Oct/Nov 2013 vacation)

Just sent in my room request fax:) We leave Friday for the long drive from Iowa to arrive on Saturday!!! This is the first time we've driven to Florida with the kids. Done it a few times in the younger years when it was just the two of us, but never this far with the whole family. My 13 year old DS is really excited he gets to stay up all night (making him sleep for sure) and my twin DS and DD 11 year olds are just excited to go through so many states on the way down.

If you can believe it they are pumped about hitting a Waffle House for breakfast on the way down. They are all big Jim Gaffigan fans.

Do I or should I call the room allocation team to make sure they received the fax okay?

Thanks!!!

I would just to verify they got the fax.

Thanks Missytara.

New TA this trip (old one retired:sad:) New TA made special storytime ressies for different day than requested, but didn't realize or tell us until right date was full. Now we have ADRs at CM and have to try to get to Epcot for storytime. DD has been looking forward to storytime after TA talked it up to her. definitely going somewhere diff. next time, or maybe do it myself, with DIS help :)

Quick questions - How long from MCO to POR by Magical Exoress? Reading DIS boards get so many different answers from 45 minutes to 2 1/2 hours? Anyone go in late Aug. can help??

Unfortunately, all those timing sound quite possible. It all depends on how long it takes to get your bags (and clear immigration if your flight is international) and then the wait for a bus to be ready & full enough to depart for your hotel, and then which other hotels they may have to drop off before yours. I'd allow for a good 2 hours though, just to be on the safe side. (The actual transit from the airport to POR could be as little as 30 mins if the bus goes direct)

Andrew,

I was hoping you could elaborate on the bus operations for this resort. On your website you note that before 10:30 am the busses that stop at the south depot do not travel around the loop to the other 3 stops, and that there is a seperate bus for that route. After 10:30 there is 1 bus for all 4 stops. My question is, before 10:30 am does the bus that hit the south depot come from the POFQ? Or is it the bus that does the loop that shares service with teh POFQ?

Expect 70 - 90 minutes from the time you deboard the plane.

Hope you enjoy our little home away from home!

I'm not sure there is a hard-and-fast rule, as they adjust bus numbers and routes based on demand. Sometimes the buses won't have called at POFQ at all, sometimes they will. The MK buses rarely share, but the other parks often do. Basically it's a fun game of discovery once you get there... :)

It depends on what time you get into MCO. We usually take the red eye from Seattle and get in around 6am. In September, we are always the only ones there at the ME that early in the morning. They always put us directly on to a bus by ourselves at that time. I think it was closer to a half hour from the time we got off of the plane, but 45 minutes is probably fair.

Now, to be fair, we've never been to the POR before, (unless you count my time in 1995 when it was Dixie Landings), those times were to the Polynesian.

Thanks Missytara.

previous posters are correct, it could be any of those times. But just for reference; our last trip June 2010 we arrived at MCO from DFW at 10:30 am and went straight to Magical Express. There were only a few people in our line and the bus went to POR first, we arrived at the hotel around 11:50. It was a very smooth process for us that I am hoping to repeat on our next trip. Hope all goes well with you too!

What other resorts do the ME POR buses go to, or is it random? Checking into POR tomorrow! :cool1:

ME buses are set up for what they need for that day. There is no set combination or number for any run. The bus driver sets the order.

Last 2 years we stayed at BC and we stopped at POR and POFQ, then Boardwalk, Yacht and last BC. Hoping this year (we are staying at POR) we stop at POR first too!

The last time I was there the bus I was on stopped at OKW and SSR in addition to POR and POFQ.
