I'm planning our daily itineraries...its not set stone but it gives me a somewhat good plan. This will give princess an idea of what to expect. OMG this is making me more and more excited. GAHHHH I'm like a little kid here watching the clock and trying to make it go by faster lol

The remodeling schedule shows May 15th - June 22nd.

It also very clearly states that all the forthcoming dates are very much subject to change. I was a bit reluctant to even post them at all to be honest, as I'm sure there will be some knock-on effects from the 3-week delays to the Royal Room buildings, and also the change from working on building 39 to 14 instead in the pre-Xmas schedule.

However, whatever does happen to be going on, buildings will be either open or closed - you won't find one room being worked on while there are guests in the next-door room. And the AB buildings are isolated enough for work not to have much impact at all on nearby guests.

With the Clone Wars Avetar, the DH being represented as Darth Vader and the two cats named Luke and Leia Im going to go ahead and assume that you have a Star Wars fan or two in your house. If you are looking for another reason to go to DW you can remind your DH that Star Wars Celebration is being held in Orlando at the convention center this AUG. This will only be the 6th Celbration held in the US in last 13 years and who knows when/where the next one will be.

As far as what resort is better between the two with the young children I'd suggest Riverside the pool is nicer, there is more to do and, you have Yee Ha Bob! I also think a younger family would be able to handle the size of the resort without any problems.

Oooh this gave me goose bumps! I actually think I will be going in August, but with a few girlfriends who aren't remotely into Star Wars. I'm definitely going to try to check it out though. Thanks for the input, I've been leaning more and more toward Riverside.

Also, your sig is fantastic!

I just stayed in RGR in Oak Manor last week, and all the other rooms in that building that I passed and could see into we're also RGRs.

Thanks for your input, it confirms that I was right and the CMs were wrong lol. So, now, I have to try to convince my TA to request the Oak Manor for me since she is convinced that I cannot get a RGR there, ugh!

Back everyone, had to take a break.

Thought maybe you'd forgot about us, since your trip over to the Poly (by the way loved the pics and the trip report). What mousekeeping did with the stuffed animals was so cute.:cloud9:

I'm completely packed...even our carry-ons except for cellphone chargers and our meds lol All I get left to do is print our boarding passes & wait for Friday morning to get here!

Now I can sit back and enjoy this beautiful weather we are having....its sunny and in the upper 70's

I have a question. Is there an age limit when booking 5 people in a room at Riveside? I just called to add a person to our package (11 year old) and move us to Riverside. The CM said that it could not be done. His exact words were that they would not be able to "accomodate" us at Riverside and suggested we move to Beach Club or Contemporary. The 11 year old is fairly small for her age and would fit the Murphy bed fine. Is there an age limit that I am not aware of at Riverside or was this just an attempt by the CM to upsell our package? He refused to change us to POR even though I would be able to book the same group there online with no problem... what should I do???

No there is not. Call back and get another cm. I have even had 6 people when was under 3. You will have to stay in the ab section.

You may need to specifically ask for one of the renovated rooms with the murphy bed.

I am definitely going to call back. I have read many reports of familys of 5 with ages well over 11 staying in AB with no problem. I think the CM may have misinterpreted the information about the Murphy bed. I know it is recommended for childen 9 and under but I know it will work fine for us. Hopefully next time I call I won't have a problem.

Which building has a better river view for royal rooms??? Def want top floor and going to try and request a corner room it's our honeymoon :)

Parterre Place rooms are closer to the river; I had a corner king bed room and wasn't 30 feet from the river's edge two years ago.

Definately a CM who has not had enough training.

He is most likely reading off the computer screen that the trundle/murphy bed is recommended for a child aged nine and under.

Room occupancy laws still dictate, and you are allowed a family of 5, any ages, as long as you are in AB.

Sadly, sometimes we know more on the disboards then the CM's working the phones.
